Vatican reaffirms that "theological dialogue" cannot take place with Muslims, from Dhimmi Watch
Why? Because "we [Catholic Christians] do not have the same relationship with God." Try telling that to dhimmi Methodist Rev. Susan Boegli, who believes Muslims and Christians "share the same God, the same principles of loving one another, of peace and justice. How we do that, the difference is in the details." She even has a John Esposito DVD affirming this position.
"Vatican cardinal assesses dialogue with Muslims, Hindus, others," from Catholic Culture, January 5:
Intercultural dialogue is possible, though, as well as about religious topics such “creation, life, family, prayer, fasting, eternal life,” and thus, according to Cardinal Tauran, it is possible to speak in a loose sense about theological dialogue. Quoting the Second Vatican Council, Cardinal Tauran added that the Church esteems all that is good and true in other religions and works with the followers of other religions for justice, peace, and charitable initiatives.
Cardinal Tauran added that the sacred books of other religions ought not to be referred to as “Sacred Scriptures.” Catholics in formation in “institutes of instruction, seminaries, and novitiates” should study the founders of other religions, while “we Christians obviously have the duty” of introducing the Bible to followers of other religions...
I'm not Catholic but I think I love this Pope Benedict.

In December, the Washington Post reported that the U.S. government, as part of an agreement it reached with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has terminated $6 billion in judgments against Libya. Though it has been called "the forgotten flight" because most attention focused on Pan Am Flight 103, the explosion of Union des Transports Aériens (UTA) Flight 772 back in 1989 killed 170 people from 17 different countries. The family members of American victims seemingly gained some closure in January 2008 when U.S. district court judge Henry H. Kennedy awarded 44 relatives $6 billion in damages against Libya, so they were justifiably livid when the U.S. government nullified their judgments. Anne Carey, whose mother died on Flight 772, told the Post: "We fought this fight. We stood up to terrorists who took our loved ones and we did so in federal court." She added, "We felt we accomplished something. For it to be dismissed is beyond comprehension."

Norwegian Doctor in Gaza Supported Terrorist Attacks on the U.S.
Claims by Norwegian Doctor Mads Gilbert that Israel is intentionally targeting Palestinian civilians and not just Hamas, need to be taken with a large dose of salt. Following 9-11 Gilbert supported terrorist attacks on the United States.
The Spectator reports today that last night the BBC TV News featured a “highly partisan report about Gaza” by Jeremy Bowen. The pro-Hamas report failed to mention “a direct hit yesterday by a Hamas rocket on a kindergarten in Ashdod.” (more at FalutlineUSA)

How can two walk together if they be not agreed.
In my opinion, the only theological dialogue a Christian could have with a muslim is try to convert them to Christ the Savior.
Other than that all they deserve is the back of our hand.
They've asked for it and they've brought it upon themselves.
