The statistics are staggering -- The battle between authorities and drug cartels killed more than 6,000 people last year and more than 1,000 so far in 2009.Mexico
is the main transit point for cocaine entering the U.S. and a source
for much of the heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine consumed in America. -- However, Americans who fear for their lives and fear for the safety of their children and homes don't care about statistics. They are wondering why our US government has allowed this to continue. Americans deserve to be safe, yet when they try to defend their homes and families, they are the ones who get sued.
The dope gang wars on the US/Mexican border must really be ticking some people in Washington off, big time. Just when they thought the decks were clear, and they have the numbers to pass the Amnesty Bill, this time for sure, all hell breaks loose on the border. [snip] The first duty of the US government is to secure the safety of its citizens. And they are not doing it. [snip] ...there is precedence for stationing US troops along the US/Mexico border. --J.D. Longstreet
Like every other problem America is experiencing, the Mexican violence that has extended into US states, some people blame America. Tim Rutten in LATimes says "The drugs, guns and culture that fuel the violence all are linked to the U.S." The State Department in its annual survey of global counter-narcotics efforts said firearms obtained in the U.S. account for an estimated 95 percent of the country's drug-related killings. In my opinion, the fact that the US has allowed the situation to get this dangerous is truly a crime against American citizens.
My heart goes out to families living on both sides of the border. Who could blame them for wanting to move to other states and get away from the situation. But who wants to buy their property and move into a battlefield? Not me.
Whether we are confronted with terror on the border from Mexico or attacks from around the world, personal responsibility and preparedness is your key to survival. Below are two sources for you to prepare yourself. Most of you are familiar with the Independent Counterterrorist training program brought to you by R.J. Godlewski and Right Truth. Check out the individual modules you can study here.
Prepared Citizens -- Prepared Communities, from National Terror Alert Response Center:
The Homeland Security Response Network will launch next week. As part of the NTARC’s “Prepared Communities” Initiative this network was created to promote emergency preparedness through awareness, education, community involvement and partnerships between individuals, groups and organizations.
Although the site has not yet launched, registration is open and over 900 people have registered.
We look forward to working with each of you and your groups as we begin building a vibrant, prepared online community. Register today!

For a frightening glimpse into what could be America's future, read Domestic Enemies: The Reconquista, by Matthew Bracken.
The book is fiction, but I believe much of it could be prophetic if we do not get illegal immigration and violence along the border under control -- soon.
Also check out other books by Matthew Bracken: Enemies Foreign and Domestic, and Foreign Enemies and Traitors coming out this year.
For a factual account of the situation in Mexico, read The Painted Mask by Marcus Henderson Wilder, The Naive Abroad. Also check out his other books.
Beheadings are a daily event along the border, torture, kidnapping, violence of all kinds. The US government has issued a travel advisory to Americans, telling them not to visit Mexico unless necessary and to stay in resorts where, for now, you may be safe.
Colleges and high schools are telling students not to visit Mexico during Spring breaks. If parents are smart, they will not allow their precious children to risk their lives.
At least one website that deals with the violence along the border has been removed. The site owner, Harold Wylie says "Borderfire report has been banned from the internet. Removed in a censor action
by both Google and yahoo."
I had web experts check the domain yesterday to make certain I was not in error about what happened. The result from 3 experts is that the site and domain are both banned and censored.
I have several bright spots however, Over the years I made many friends in newscasters, law enforcement officers and commentary authors for the straight up reporting of Border news. It's impossible for traitors to keep me down for long. They only won the first round but I'll be a lot better prepared on the next one.

I dont think its so crazy to place a little bit of the blame on the U.S. 95% of their guns come from us? Who do we blame when people sneak across the border to buy drugs from mexican pharmacies?

I saw something about this on the evening news yesterday, the mexican president was whining about how America needs to do more to stem the flow of illegal guns into mexico. Yes, you read right, good thing i paid good money for that TV or i would have thrown something at it. The gall of the fellow, telling America to secure the damn border!

The only reason that McCain's amnesty bill failed ("see you at the singing" Dubya) was because American citizens wrote letters, made phone calls, and took to the streets. If we rely on our political creatures..the Southwest will become Mexico, and Nashville will be a province of Somalia.
It's all about citizenship...Citizenship requires effort, and the current crop of US residents (I'll not flatter them by calling the "citizens") don't like anything requiring effort. Facebook and Reality TV are more important than preserving the Republic.

You are right about each one of those people, Michael. But something must be done because if it is not, the US really is screwed.

Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is an Open Borders activist. So is Barry Sortero, Juan McCain and the ex-Mexican President Georgio Bushki.
We're screwed.
