I've always had faith in people, faith that good will win out over evil and that in the end people will do the right thing. I'm no Pollyanna, so I realize that people don't always do the right thing and that sometimes evil does win, at least for a time. I'm very concerned about the United States and the direction I see her headed. I'm hearing rumblings from citizens who feel their rights are threatened on a number of fronts. When these citizens finally get mad enough, how will they react, and what will the rest of us do?
The new government in the US wants a socialistic system to force their agenda on the rest of us. Obama said "I won", meaning I get my way on things. Many Americans voted for Obama because they didn't like what George W. Bush did. I didn't like what Bush did in his last year either, except for keeping America safe and allowing the surge in Iraq to continue. This financial disaster and the first bailout bill started on Bush's watch.
I think much of the blame needs to be placed on American citizens who bought things they knew they could not afford, lived beyond their means, and then want the new government to bail them out, give them special privileges that responsible citizens won't be eligible for. Just because you can get a loan,doesn't mean you should get one. Just because you can charge up a huge balance on an account, doesn't mean that's the right thing to do.
The new government doesn't care what the cost this stimulus bill will be to working Americans. The word is that the rich will have to start paying more taxes, maybe some special taxes to help pay for these welfare bills. If you are working and making a salary, look out because you will most likely be paying more in taxes.
Those of you who are dumb enough to allow the government to keep your money for a year by deductions from your paycheck, with the idea that you get a big refund after tax day, are going to be very surprised. Two states already have decided not to give you your refund. Doesn't matter that it's your money, once the government gets their hand on it they can keep it. You should have made sure that the government only too out what they deserved to. If you want a lump sum of money at any given time, then take a little out of your paycheck yourself each week and put it in savings, make a little interest too. Uncle Sam sure won't give you interest and may not give you excess deductions back.
What happens when the people say enough? I'm talking about the people who have followed all the rules, paid all their bills on time, paid all their taxes on time, lived within their means, and will now be asked to pay more. They have had and are now being asked to carry more of the burden of the world upon their already burdened shoulders. What happens when they will no longer permit themselves to be victims?
Rand's magnum opus, Atlas Shrugged, revolves around the question, what would happen if the victims of evil (the "Atlases" who carry the burden of the world upon their shoulders) no longer permit themselves to be victims, and revoke or shrug off their sanction?
The essence of human morality for Rand is the unwillingness of the good to serve evil, the refusal of the individual person to approve of his being a sacrificial animal. This applies to nations as well. (To The Point paid only, via Atlas Shrugs)
Here in the United States we now have honor killings, Muslim husbands beheading their wives, the multiculturalism and vile treatment of women in the United Kingdom working it's way into America. Islamic law is now being recognized in places you might expect, like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and in places you may not have expected like the UK. A duly elected parliamentarian from another EU country, Geert Wilders of the Netherlands, was denied entry to the UK because he constituted “a threat to public policy,” by speaking out against Islam. Mark Steyn, who writes The Obamateur Hour, along with Dr.Paul Williams and a rapidly growing list of writers and speakers, can relate to Mr. Wilders treatment by the religion of peace and her dhimmi subservients.
Americans have President Barack Hussein Obama, who some still question whether he was born inside the United States, or actually born in Kenya. If we ask to see the sealed documents we are called conspiracy nuts.
Some folks turn against us if we support Israel. We have Jewish students attacked and harassed at universities here in the United States. Liberal media distorts anything that doesn't fit their agenda, from reporting on Israel to current events in the US. They are essentially government media. (Example: A woman asks Obama for a new car, house, job, expecting him to provide for her needs. In reality a Republican came forward and gave her a house. The Liberal media conveniently left out the fact that a Republican gave the house and allowed readers to believe Obama had provided it.)
There is a new movement toward a fairness doctrine, NANC says "this avenue has nothing whatsoever to do with being "fair" - it has everything to do with shutting conservatives up completely." Exactly right, this is part of the Obamanation that is our new government.
You've lost approximately half of your savings, your retirement, and you may lose more before this is over. What can you depend on these days? Medicare? Social Security???

Those Americans in their 40's, 50's and 60's are voters. I'm anxious to see how these people will vote in the next elections after the new government gets finished with them.

To focus on a Muslim murdering his wife and ignoring the Christian man murdering his wife is what I would call bigotry.
It seems to me, reading this article that "I've always had faith in people, faith that good will win out over evil and that in the end people will do the right thing" really means "Conservatives are good and Liberals are evil".

sure there are plenty of people of other religions who commit crimes of passion in the name of the Lord, but they're the exception, not the rule. whereas, izlamizts look for a reason to kill-kill-kill!
