Words matter. Obama won the election with pretty words. Expressing your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and yes -- your objections -- is not only your right but it is your responsibility as American citizens. The Obama administration wants you to sit down and shut up. We do not have a vote in Washington because (1) Conservatives are in the minority; (2) Republicans have gone wimpy and been cowed by the 'one'; The Democrats know that they are remaking America into something she was never meant to be.
It is interesting to note "President Barack Obama’s popularity overwhelms that of Jesus Christ,
Martin Luther King, and Mother Teresa, according to a new poll that
shows Obama as the person Americans named as their hero."
I've had the opportunity to hear from several physicians across the US via email and talked to some in person. They have followed with interest Barack Obama's healthcare plan for this nation. I can't find one that believes this plan will be good for them or for their patients. I've heard from some students in medical school who are wondering why they are going through all those years of hell and loans, now that their potential earning capacity and ability to do what is necessary for their patient's health, will be controlled by the government.
The Obama administration's new budget, with deficits that make previous irresponsible deficits look like child's play, has a cover that says "A New Era of Responsibility."
You want responsibility? He'll give you the word "responsibility." Why not? It costs nothing. (Thomas Sowell)
Conservatives seemed pleased with Michael Steele as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. We thought he was a true Conservative, one who would fight the Obama new government's plans to remake America. Apparently we were wrong. Steele said, ""Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh's whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it is incendiary. Yes, it is ugly. Rush will say what Rush has to say; we'll do what we have to do."
Yes, Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer, but he uses his entertainer skills to instruct his listeners in the ways of Conservatism. Mr. Steele you completely missed the truth behind Rush Limbaugh's statement that he hopes Obama fails. With your words you drank the kool-aid and sided with Obama. You had a chance to stand up and make a choice, make a stand. You failed.
Thomas Sowell believes that Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal also had a chance to take a stand and failed:
He was, in a sense, defensive, as if he had to establish that he was a good guy. General Douglas MacArthur gave a one-word definition of defensive warfare: defeat.(Thomas Sowell)
Barack Obama's new government has been filled with shady characters and the newest, Gov. Gary Locke, is no different. We can point out their failings until we are blue in the face, but they will be approved anyway. However, we must voice our opinions, get them on the record, make a stand.
"Every American has an obligation to question where Obama’s proposals are heading. ... The attempt to stifle policy analysis not only challenges our senses, but goes against American values. ... Now they want to suppress us while they radically alter the federal government. We must all be the loyal opposition to assure our collective path secures our collective future. Anything less would be un-American." says Bruce Bialosky.
"About those tax breaks Obama promises. You might want to prepare, in
advance, for your income tax filings the next year because, as I
understand it, that tiny increase in your “take home pay”, as a result,
will be treated as income the next year and you WILL have to pay taxes
on it. In other words… you’ll have to give the money back." J.D. Longstreet explains.
Leading Republicans (they can't be called Conservatives) are supporting in-state tuition for illegal aliens in Colorado, and probably other states. The American people are beginning to stand up and make their words heard in cities across this great country -- The Tea Parties are growing in number and size.
The violence along the Mexican-American border has reached epic proportions. "While military officials overseas are taking a common sense approach to securing the border of war-torn Iraq, officials here in the United States appear indifferent to the crisis occurring on our own border with gang-infested, politically-corrupt Mexico." says Jim Kouri. American citizens are crying out, but where are the politicians? Why won't they speak out boldly on this emergency.
Four tons of fertilizer was stolen in Frederick Maryland. Any idea what the thief could possibly use this for? Hmmm??? Is anybody worried in the new government worried about terrorism???
Politicians are concerned with the economy, half of the nation was lulled into complacency with pretty words. Now they are looking to Obama to solve all their problems, to open the purse strings in Washington and let the money flow. After all, he promised 95% of Americans would have no new taxes, they could live in houses without paying mortgages, they could buy cars without making payments, they could have extra money in their paychecks, they could use their credit cards without paying the bills. Words my friends, and Americans swallowed them hook, line and sinker.
If our economy is so bad, and it is, why are we giving away billions to terrorists?
Because Obama is the first Black president politicians are afraid to say a word against him, his policies, his cabinet choices. Kool-Aid is flowing freely and too many Republicans are drinking. I smell revolt in the air, fresh, sweet, and growing strong.
Odd final thoughts: Captain James T. Kirk, a/k/a William Shatner, wants to be Prime Minister of Canada. Maybe we could get Spock, a/k/a Leonard Nemoy, to run for President of the United States. Better yet, how about Clint Eastwood?

Wow, what are you guys smokin'?

I've been getting bad juju about this same thing for the last couple of weeks...and I'm starting to think we won't be able to pull it out...
Great post, Miss Debbie.

I love how these stupid "polls" always work for liberals to suit themselves:
"...according to a new poll that shows Obama as the person Americans named as their hero."
Where was this poll done at? Harlem and Washington DC?

I generally, like to poke fun at this new occupant of the White House thinking like most that this is only another president and that things will change after the next election. But I'm beginning to face the stark reality that this maniac, this madman, could in just a few years destroy what its taken this country hundreds of years to build. The final straw for me was the new budget plan. Obama with his twisted understanding of history and his alien social and economic ideals, many of which he learned from the years he spent in the pews of Pastor Wrights church; will in the end not only change this country, as he has promised, but will destroy the very fabric of this great nation. He plan represents a threat far more formidable than any invading army could mount. Great nations generally fall from within, their fate sealed by the common masses who fail to see or understand the unrush of events. Events that are obvious to a few and invisable to the many. Such is the position we find ourselves in now. This man, this misguided fool, must be stopped. I beg, I plead, I pray that each of you raise the alarm---the enemy is not at the gates, but in the house; its not the Russians, its not the terrorist, its not the Iranians--its a charming, likable, young man who wants change. Unfortunately, its a change that will destroy this nation and its way of life. All despots think theirs in the road to greatness for their peoples and this leader is no different. No doubt about it, he is a leader and his followers love and adore him and they wait with eager antipication for his next words and the next words come and flow over the masses and they believe. They compare him to past great leaders and look to him to provide them with a better life. He promises more and more and the people believe and revel in the changes he trumpets. Changes that will give birth to a new nation, changes for a new millennium. A casting aside of the old order and the establishment of a new utopian-like society where all the needs of the common man will be met. He tells the masses that our problems are so great that only government can solve them and he will lead us to greatness again. His vision of American is a dark one, remember he sat in Pastor Wrights pews for years and was completely indoctrinated by his message of an evil and corrupt nation. He disavowed him when it suited his purpose, but gradually we are seeing his true feeling about the Pastors teachings emerge. Obama, in the end will reveal himself, but by that time it may be too late for this great nation to recover.

Absolutely right! All the politicians are the problem. Not government. If conservatives were running things, the politicians and the government would be in the People’s way to fix our economy, borders, schools, etc. The GOP needs to stop drinking the Kool-aid and starting finding their principles and start using them. If they don’t, they are going to lose the next election and the People could lose their Republic.
