I know it will be hard to pick just one weasel, there are so many weasels trying to destroy America these days. You tell me who is the worst-of-the-worst and who needs to be tarred and feathered? Here are a few candidates for The Biggest Weasel:
President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama:
In a startling ambitious budget message, President Barack Obama has thrown down the gauntlet to the American Right not only by tying the current economic crisis to the recklessness of the past eight years under George W. Bush but by tracing it back further to the anti-regulatory, anti-labor and anti-government policies of Ronald Reagan.
"For the better part of three decades, a disproportionate share of the nation's wealth has been accumulated by the very wealthy," the 142-page budget message states. "Technological advances and growing global competition, while transforming whole industries - and birthing new ones - has accentuated the trend toward rising inequality." (continue at TruthOut)
Obama is also calling for a βglobal new dealβ to lift the world out
of recession and has declared war on investors, entrepreneurs, businesses, and more. He is pulling troops out of Iraq, a country where the battle is almost won, a country where the terrain is level, the people want democracy, and a country that can be a long-term friend of the United States -- and he is sending troops to Afghanistan, a country of rough terrain, known to harbor the worse of terrorists, and a country that tends to send foreign troops home defeated. Obama's new government is planning huge monetary investments into Pakistan, also rough terrain and also harboring terrorists. Can his war-hating Left continue to support such action?
Washington - In an admission that its dependence on the Pakistani military has yielded few results against the Taliban, the United States is now seeking to change its relationship with Pakistan β the world's sole Muslim nuclear power and home of Al Qaeda's leadership.
President Barack Obama's first budget, released last week, proposes significant increases in nonmilitary aid to Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan. In addition, two influential senators are expected to file legislation in the coming days that would triple nonmilitary US aid to Pakistan to $1.5 billion a year and include $5 billion to stave off an imminent economic crisis. You can see a declassified NATO document describing the West's war strategy in Afghanistan here, more here, (pdf, thanks to African Crisis).
No matter who you choose to be the worse weasel, one thing is sure: Rush Limbaugh is certainly king of the weasel watchers.
On a side note, fellow blogger Always on Watch said, "I'm getting sick and tired of writing about all the damage BHO is doing to our nation. Any thinking person can see that damage and the dangerous path our nation is following without a constant drumbeat from me." She is absolutely correct and yet each it seems we are stabbed in the heart with another pronouncement from the messiah or someone from his new government. We cannot help but report and comment on each of these attacks on Conservatism and thus on America. They would love it if we would just sit down, shut up, and give up.
We cannot oblige them.

Just remember who was Chairman of the House Finance and Banking Committee before the failure of Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae. That's right, none other than Barney Frank. He is the poster child for this debacle, and it was he who pushed for easier loans to those who could not afford it, then blocked efforts to reform it before the impending doom that came.
Why am I the only one in Massachusetts that knows this?

You are right there are too many to choose from but based on 'enabling' I would have to say Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as his position gives him the unique ability to direct what goes on, what is dealt with and what is not.
Before Barry Congress was still there. Reid enables Pelosi and may facilitate defections like Collins, Snowe and Specter although they likely did not need encouragement.
Still the GOP has failed to quickly move to repair and redirect their efforts to attract the public back to what should be their way of thinking... conservative and practical solutions.
Using politics when they have so many resources available to them to produce reasonable effective solutions with proof of concept is the most annoying.
But, Harry is the biggest weasel for reasons already stated.

There's a rather irreverent radio talk show host here in Denver who drives the Leftists absolutely BONKERS by calling him Barry. Not "The President", just "Barry".
"Disrespectful!" "Racist!" and other cries from the Left result.
Funny....when Bush was President, it was okay to call him "Hitler", "Dubya", and call every other week for his impeachment. Some leftist blogs went so far as to call for Bush's assassination, and tout books about it.
Progressives have no standards or ethics, as anyone who listens to their verbal/written hypocritical dysentery knows.
So everyone, just call him BARRY. 'Cuz that's his GIVEN NAME.
A little dose back at the useless, stupid Left.

In at least runner up for weasel would be Chris Dodd and Barney Frank, both Democrats, who supported Fannie Mac and Freddie Mae and forced banks to lend money to people who never had a chance of paying it back..........smoothe move ex-lax.

I told you so. Over and over, I kept telling you, stop beating on Hillary Clinton while she was running for Dem. nominee, because if she didn't win, Obama would.
But you wouldn't stop. You wouldn't listen. Now thanks to all the efforts of all the conservative Hate Hillary blogs such as this one, as well as the massive push from the Liberal media, Obama became our president. Happy now?
The man is a Muslim. He is. You know he is. Those of you who doubted that or still doubt, just keep watching.
It's not that I, personally, wanted Hillary to win. I didn't. I wanted Obama to lose and I harped away on every blog I could post on about this. I didn't really think that McCain or any other GOP candidate had a chance anyway, but Hillary was a far safer bet than Obama.
Now that you can all see that for yourselves, let me point out to you once again that hindsight will never replace foresight.
We Americans used to look ahead and plan for the future. We had foresight. Now what we have is credit-card mentalities, pay-later minds. We deserve to have a raving Liberal driving us over a cliff. But do our kids?
Our greatest hope is for utter global financial collapse, a world depression that makes the last one look like a bank holiday. I'm with Rush Limbaugh, I want Obama to fail, for Americans to tighten their belts and get unhooked from credit, to go back to work reopening our factories, to Buy American again. I want our giant corporations to collapse and small businesses to take back our manufacturing that the giants gave away to China.
I want Obama to fail and I want all Americans, for even just one generation, just one, to start using the ability of foresight that God gave us all.
