Opinionnation Times wrote an article last year that was picked up by Reuters which claimed that the far-left in this country was indeed, far More Dangerous than Al Qaeda, and argued that Modern Liberalism, unlike Al Qaeda, has the actual
ability to undermine and even destroy the foundational struts of the
United States of America. There is no question in my mind that we are seeing the truth of that premise here in the US today.
I'm not just talking about the economic situation and the way President Barack Obama has turned America toward a socialistic future, taking over corporations sometimes by using strong-arm tactics and force. Nor am I just talking about the money going to groups like ACORN and unions as payback for their Democrat votes. Nor am I only talking about the crackdown on Christianity, freedom of speech, and loss of true journalism. All those things are true and a danger to the America we have known and enjoyed in the past.
The true danger is how open to sharia (Islamic) law and practices the liberals are, above all other religions and groups. Here in the United States we have honor killings and the media would rather chop their own hand off than use that word. We have Muslim men with multiple wives, using Islamic punishments for any perceived slight.
As Dr. Phyllis Chesler says, "Radical, fundamentalist Islam is the world’s largest practioner of both gender and religious apartheid. " But what is the definition of "radical" or "fundamentalist" Islam? Here in the US we have honor killings, yes, but we also have "pleasure marriages". HAHmed reports, "I had no idea how prevalent mut'a marriages were, especially here in New York."
“Marriage is halal, dating is haram,” says Ali Selman. In other words, marriage is permissible, but dating is forbidden. These are the rules for the strapping, green-eyed Lebanese Shiite from Brooklyn.
Luckily for young Muslims like Selman, who are deeply religious yet subject to the same hormonal forces as any other twentysomething, the Quran provides what you might call a caveat clause. Its rule against sex outside of marriage is clear, but many Shiite Muslims believe that a section called “Al Nissa” contains a single word (istimta) that seems to allow Muslims to engage in Mut’ah marriages, or “pleasure marriages”—essentially, temporary marriages for the purpose of having sex.
These “pleasure marriages” can last for years, months, several days, one night, or a few hours. Popular in places like Iran but also quietly practiced in America, Mut’ah is a handy option for unmarried Shiite Muslims who want to have sex without settling down for life. “There can be no sex outside of marriage,” says the 29-year-old Selman, a champion weightlifter who, over the past 10 years, has been temporarily married 25 times. Though there are important differences between Twelve-Imam Shi’ism and Sunnism on the level of the principles of the religion(usul al-din), on the level of the sharia and fiqh or jurisprudence there are surprisingly few places where Shi’i or ‘Ja’fari’ law differs from all four Sunni schools, the Hanaf’i, Hanbali, Maliki, and Shafi’i. Perhaps the most important difference occurs in relation to the institution of mut’a, or ‘temporary marriage’. The Sunni authorities agree that mut’awas permitted by the Prophet at certain points during his lifetime, but they maintain that in the end he prohibited it completely. In contrast the Shi’is maintain that the Prophet did not ban it, and they cite numerous hadith from Sunni as well as Shi’i sources to prove this. Having established its legality, they then devote tremendous care and attention to defining its legal status and all the rules and regulations connected with it.
One major purpose of the present study is to trace the origin of this divergence between Sunni and Shi’i law by going back to the sources and arguments on both sides. A second purpose is to describe the legal situation of mut’a in Shi’ism. In order to do this, it is first necessary to understand the rules and regulations that define marriage itself, since all the discussions of mut’a take place within this context. Hence Chapter One describes the ‘pillars’ and ‘conditions’ of marriage according to the five schools of law, though in a manner which is by necessity truncated and which makes no attempt to give a thorough presentation of all the different opinions. Chapter Two discusses the ‘four pillars’ ofmut’a and Chapter Three its ’statutes’. Once the nature ofmut’a and its structural relationship to permanent marriage is understood, the debates concerning the legitimacy of mut’a-summarized in Chapter Four–can be better understood. -- Sachiko Murata

Although America is far from perfect, it is still a more democratic, more lawful, more feminist, and more compassionate country than is any Muslim country anywhere in the world—no matter how charming or hospitable its citizens may also be. The same is true of tiny, imperfect, amazing, and much maligned Israel. It stands head and shoulders above its Arab and Muslim neighbors in terms of human rights. This is one of the reasons it is so demonized.
To my sorrow, many western academics, feminist activists, and mainstream journalists actively resist this point of view. They claim that human bomb-terrorism, hate speech, child suicide bombers, honor killings masterminded, funded, and carried out by Muslims, have absolutely nothing to do with Islam; that barbaric practices such as stoning, beheading, limb amputation, and honor killing are all “pre-Islamic” customs and have nothing to do with Islam; and that pairing Islam with what is done in its name by its followers, or by its national and religious leaders—is an example of western “racism” and Islamophobia.
We in the West have also been taught that Islamic barbarism is due to western colonialism, imperialism, racism. We have not been taught to view Islam as the imperialistic, genocidal, slave-owning and misogynist culture which, alas, it is. Today, even saying this is quickly labeled “Islamophobic” and censored as hate speech. (Dr. Phyllis Chesler, more)
AINA reports: "The latest annual report by the independent U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom names 13 countries as serious violators of religious freedom. The 13 countries named as Countries of Particular Concern (CPC) in this year's report are Burma, North Korea, China, Vietnam, Eritrea, Nigeria, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan." What, no Afghanistan? Anyway, look at what's happening in those countries and ask yourself "do I want these atrocities to grow in number inside the US?"
One might ask, "Where are the women's rights groups in the US?" Why are they not speaking out for those countries listed above and for those inside the US connected with Islam? That my friends is the crux of the situation -- Islam. The left in the US are so pro-multicultural (except when it comes to Christianity and Conservatives), they won't speak up and risk offending Muslims. As Dr. Chesler notes, "Honor killings are a Muslim-on-Muslim crime, a collaboration of an entire family against their own female blood. So is female genital mutilation, polygamy, and arranged and child marriage."
We have numerous members of Obama's staff who have connections to the Muslim Brotherhood Association and other related groups; he specifically had a list of Muslims drawn up so he could incorporate them in his administration. Did he make up a list of Christians? Jews? Any other group? Not to my knowledge. We have politicians who are Muslim, also with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying all "Muslims" are bad. I'm saying Muslims who are fundamentalists with these radical connections are wrong for America.
Yet the Republicans are split, bad-mouthing their best candidates, sniping at each other. A new push to reach the people by Republicans brought mostly re-runs from the last election. We must get organized, we must allow conservatives a voice, because our country depends on 'change' from the damage of the last 100 days. The Obama administration wants to do away with America as we know it. We cannot let this happen.
See Spreading Christianity and Torture:
United States soldiers are being accused of spreading Christianity in Afghanistan. At the same time the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life survey found the more often Americans go to church, the more likely they are to support the torture of suspected terrorists. Well, that's the way CNN reported the survey results.
Now from the quickly withdrawn report, titled the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon, "comes from the department's Office of Intelligence and Analysis, the same unit that produced the report on right-wing extremists recruiting vets, we learn the same document 'uses a broad brush to define terms used when analyzing dozens of supposedly extremist ideologies inside the United States. They cover: Jewish extremists, animal rights extremists, Christian identity extremists, black separatism extremists, anti-abortion extremists, anti-immigration extremists, anti-technology extremists, Cuban independence extremists and tax resistance extremists, to name a few.'
That document is the work of Liberals who see Christians and Jews as the enemy.
Liberal Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) admitted that a strategic objective of the Obama healthcare reform plan is to destroy the private health insurance industry, reports Hyscience:

Our country is under siege. The time for action is now.

we may have passed the point of no return, debbie. hate to even think it - but, can you imagine a turnaround now? as for women's groups NOT going to the aid of those suffering around the world? it's much easier to plug their agenda right here in the good new ussa!

Unbelievable... BHO is counting on the media and the public worship heaped upon him to shield Him from criticism when this goes bad.
Obama worship is leading to some terrible decisions and our media is helping!
Conservatives need to intervene one-on-one with liberal friends to get them out of the cult!
Here is a piece that might provide a laugh and maybe an idea.

Great post Debbie. The enemy from within is always the greatest threat to a nation. Most great nations have fallen not from invading armies, but from weakness brought on by internal conflicts which in the end leaves them open to external hostile forces.

Thanks for the link nancz, much appreciated. I hope we have not reached the point of no return.

"Under Siege" is a perfect description of not just America, but all those fundamental building blocks that hold her up. We are being attacked at every angle and slowly but surely every support of our culture, values, and governace are being kicked out from under us.

Rich Saudis have been going to India for years renting young girls, which is to say, they pay a small down payment on a dowry, get married and after a few weeks leave the girl never to return.
This from a religion that respects women.
