Don't go to the White House. If Sergeant Jim Crowley of the Cambridge Police Department is as smart as we all know he is, (Cambridge police force's hand-picked racial profiling expert selected by a former black police commissioner) he will politely decline President Barack Obama's invitation to come to the White House and 'have a beer' with him and Professor Henry Louis Gates. The reasons Crowley should decline the invitation should be obvious, but here they are anyway:
This began as a class issue rather than a race issue. But for Prof. Gates who lives by and is financially dependent on racial conflict, and who is both racially and socially superior to a lowly white police officer (at least in Gates own mind and by some in real life) this must be made to be about race. The neighbor who made the 911 call never mentioned the race of the two men breaking into the house, Sgt. Crowley was not looking for men of any certain race. Race entered the picture when Prof. Gates started ranting like a mad man and screaming things like do you know who I am (insinuating I'm important)... and when the President of the United States said this was about race, referred to racial profiling without knowing any of the facts and said the police had acted stupidly.
Why would the president of the United States, leader of the free world, and by his own admission a citizen [not of the United States of America] but of the world, insert himself into this local community breaking and entering 911 call? Simple:
(1) Because he's all about race, all about how Blacks have been mistreated, all about more than reparations and all for spreading the wealth to those who have (according to him and other race-baiters) been cheated in the past;
(2) Because the distinguished Prof. Gates is a close personal friend of Obama;
(3) Because Prof. Gates held a fundraiser for Obama;
(4) Because Prof. Gates is a Harvard man;
(5) Because Prof. Gates vacations in Martha's Vineyard, as does Obama and other elites (and phony intellectual
elitists, who have little or no understanding, much less grounding, in
the fundamental ideas undergirding the American republic);
(6) Because Obama allowed his mouth to speak what his heart and mind truly believe, without consulting his handlers first. We were given one of those few and very rare moments of honesty from Obama and now he's trying his very best to get himself out of a bad situation, without apologizing or admitting saying anything wrong and without hurting his relationship with Prof. Gates and other like-minded supporters.
Obama will use this meeting in the White House as a public relations stunt. There will be media, there will be pictures, there will be statements -- mostly made by Obama and Gates -- leaving Crowley looking like the bad guy, which we all know he is not. It will appear that Sgt. Crowley is the one who was not only wrong, but the one who backed down.
The impression left in viewer's minds will intentionally be Gates was completely innocent and correct in acting the way he did and saying the things he said when Crowley et al came to his home. The utterly wrong idea of racial profiling will be the intentional elephant in the room, leaving the impression that Sgt. Crowley did in fact act racially, but that the magnanimous Prof. Gates is willing to forgive and forget, to even stoop so low as to have a beer with the common police Sgt.
The ugly truth is that there was racial profiling in this case, but it was Prof. Gates doing the profiling against a White police officer. I think this invitation is more like being called to the principal's office in school, at least for Sgt. Crowley, and he will be confronted with both Gates and Obama. Not a very welcoming situation if you ask me. So if I were Sgt. Crowley I would say thanks, but no thanks.
Yesterday here at Right Truth we presented ten reasons that Obama should step down and today we are asked "How does America rid itself of it's first Black President?" I don't have the answer, but if Sgt. Crowley thinks about this, he will stay home and continue to be the upstanding man, policeman, citizen of Cambridge and America, husband and father that he has always been. Sgt. Crowley, just say no to this invitation to be used as a pawn by Barack Obama and Henry Gates.
UPDATE:
I posted this article early this morning. When Glenn Beck came on Fox News at 4:00 Central time -- he agreed with me. Sgt. Crowley going to the White House is a BAD idea.

Oh, Debbie, you are so smart. Great post; I agree with you, nothing good can come of this. They're out to get him...Gates is a horrid little man whose very job depends on making sure race relations AREN'T normal....and the really upsetting thing about OBama is that he acted so reflexively; just like any minority would with a HUGE chip on his shoulder and a desire to believe the worst of some people......
Bill Cosby's first statement was that "obama lived there for a while and possibly knows things about that area">.OH, yes...and hadn't paid something like 17 parking tickets while living there. He knew who he felt disdain for. The COPS.

Oh so now that hussein has put both his feet in his mouth, he wants to appear all chummy and all that. Take a hike hussein, should have thought of that before you opened your mouth and prattled on.

If it was me, I'd tell the Prez "Sorry, sir. But I can't carry in your house. However, if you want a beer, come on down to the woods and we'll shoot off a clip or two."
End invitation. ;o)

R.J., great response. Wish I had thought of it.
Z and MK, thanks. If the US ever does away with capital punishment we're doomed.

Arrogance, racial "chip on the shoulder" and elitism combined.
Small wonder Barry's approval numbers are dropping.
I repeat: voter remorse.

The advice to Sgt Crowley to avoid going to the White House illustrates just how stupid you are.
The idea of having beers wasn't the President's. It was Crowley's suggestion. Obama, just agreed to host the meeting.
Also kind of revealing is the reality that neither the official police tapes or the comments made by the woman who filed the initial report, sustain any controversial element contained in Crowley's incident report.
Crowley may be an "expert" on profiling. Now he ought to work a little on "accuracy."

Crowley went and acquitted himself admirably, which is just as good as not going, and less insulting. Rejecting the invitation would have been taken as an insult by Obama worshippers and many mere supporters, which would have been worse for him and for his and our position on the matter than what actually took place. He would have been written off as an enemy, while he came off as a sincere honorable and dedicated officer, with considerable ability to handle questioning.
