I'm not sure if I buy any of the Muslim-Michael connection, but it makes for interesting reading if iyou are a rabid Michael Jackson fan. From HAHmed:

A source close to the Jacksons has exclusively revealed to X17 Online that family will likely have a traditional Muslim burial for late Michael Jackson. “The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because they believe Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs,” says the source.
“Michael’s brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites because he feels it’s important to bury his brother according to the Muslim way,” adds the source. Despite earlier reports that both public and private memorial services for the late music performer have been set to be held this week, there has been no official confirmation just yet from Michael’s family on the location where his body will be laid to rest.
Michael Jackson was reported converting to Islam in late 2008, years
after expressing his interest to join the faith. He later on changed
his name into “Mikaeel”, which was meant as a reference to the name of
one of Allah 
’s angels.
In Muslim burial, per X17 Online, someone’s body “has to be cleaned, but ideally not embalmed, and wrapped in a white sheet, and it must be buried facing Mecca. The Koran also dictates that the body be buried as close to the place of death and as soon after death as possible. There should be no tombstone near the grave.”

please do not be ignorant!! If he converted of course he wanted to keep it secret for many reasons He was such a high profile how could he have decleared something so personal and it is also not acceptable and very dangereous in the the showbusiness.But that is obvious people are trying to hide something about his faith it makes people think!!!!Anyway he wantend to keep it secret!!!

Islam or not Islam, not us to judge. It's up to our mighty Allah. More over the death certificate of MJ doesn't show anything or it's already deleted but one thing for sure there is a mystery pertaining of the private funeral, could be something got to do with the religion. If MJ was Cristian, why they need to hide it???..just think!.

People are so quick to judge...his family is not Muslim...but I do believe Michael reverted to Islam...but that is between him and Allah...Just because of his past he couldn't have excepted true Islam, people are so ignorant and superficial...please people read a book...actually more than one before you begin speaking! It's so funny how people hold Muslims to a higher standard than they hold themselves!

Michael Travis: I knew it could not be the true Islam, as you say they would have buried Michael long ago -- in more ways than one. Most everything he did was against their rules - at least publicly.

This is definately the work of his brother Jermaine...While interviewing with Larry King Jermaine was talking about HIS Muslim religion...Michael did interviews before and openly said he was Christian...So maybe when he went to hide in Dubi he was checking out the Muslim faith. The guy to ask would be his friend Mikos -- I don't think there was anything he didn't know about Michael -they were obviously very close friends.
