Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has resigned her position and most of the immediate comments are very negative. I have a very different take -- I believe this is a stroke of genius on Palin's part. She is saving Alaska from the constant trashing from the Left, from the continuous frivolous lawsuits and the cost of defending them. Her comments were from the heart, not scripted and certainly not from a teleprompter. Palin can use this time to travel, educate herself and improve her shortcomings, write a book, spend time with her family, travel across this great nation and re-introduce herself to Americans. I could always be wrong and her enemies could be right. Some suggest there may be illness in the family; or trouble with Sarah and Todd; or some deep dark secret yet uncovered... Anything is possible but remember, Sarah Palin is a candidate like we have never seen before. She is real.
She emphasized today what she believes in: Conservatism; capitalism; freedom; security; military; small government; low taxes; ...

Damn, didn't know about this. Sounds like she is either going to make a hell of a comeback or she's had enough, cannot blame her one bit for the latter.

No I don't think Sarah Palin is pregnant. I got the idea that she had her tubes tied after the last baby was born. If she did not have that done and she is pregnant again, then shame on her.

I think this is a good move. The Democrats will whittle down her approval rating for the rest of her term. She doesn't have a chance no matter how well she handles the business of Alaska.
Now she will be free to speak as she wants. While it is unusual to step down as she did, the last year of her life has been extremely unusual. No one has been attacked as she has. This gives her some breathing room without being the Alaska governor.

I dunno, R. J. if she is with child it would be beyond my understanding. She's got enough chilluns for three people, her last was a Down's baby and she's not getting any younger.....Whew!

I admit that this thought is WAY out there, but does anyone know if Sarah Palin could be expecting?
Her timing associates with a "major" event and she looked too bubbly to be quiting simply because the progressive left have hounded her for the past year. Her husband flew in by her side and there's a family "feeling" to her words and actions.
Just thinking out loud, I suppose. ;o)

I noticed the "time is short", but I took it to mean Palin did not want to waste time being a lame duck. She wants to get out there and start working toward her future now. I could always be wrong.

I just listened to Palin's full statement.
Several times, she referenced "Time is short." She seemed to be referring to life is short.
Makes one wonder, huh?

Of course, she just might be tired of all the cr** that she and her family are being subjected to. I know I would be.
