The above statement is one of three suggestions made by Neel Kashkari in the Washington Post yesterday. You remember him as an assistant Treasury secretary during the George W. Bush administration, he led the office of financial Stability and ran the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) until May 2009. Cutting entitlements is a hot topic, especially at election time, but there is no way American can get back on the road to recovery if half the nation is on the government dole.
Cutting entitlement spending is just the first step. Conservative Republicans who wish to
keep their present positions and those campaigning for seats in Congress need to start making their list of positions and programs that will be cut if they are elected. Start with the czars, all their offices, all their employees and spending accounts should be completely cut. Next start cutting or at least freezing salaries. Then cut the purse strings for politicians, it's our money and they spend it as if there is an unlimited supply. Then move on to programs that have no basis in our Constitution. Undo all the damage that the Barack Obama administration has foisted upon us.
A nation's culture can have a profound impact on its competitiveness.
Our shared beliefs in free markets, fair play and the rule of law
inspire entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and give global investors
confidence to bring their money to America. These beliefs have passed
from citizen to citizen, from generation to generation. They have
strengthened over our history and brought an important competitive edge
to the United States.
Our belief in free markets is founded on the idea that each individual
acting in his or her self-interest will lead to a superior outcome for
the whole. The financial crisis has reminded us that free markets are
not perfect -- but they do allocate capital better than any other system
we know. A "me first" mentality usually makes markets more efficient. (Washington Post)
Politicians will be required to take a stand, voting present will not be sufficient. Take a lesson from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Politicians desiring to serve the American people in Congress or in their state governments should take their cue from Christie.
First on the agenda should be repealing Obamacare.
It will never happen, but Tom Tancredo makes the case for Obama's impeachment, saying "For the first time in American history, we have a man in the White House who consciously and brazenly disregards his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. ... Members of Congress must defend our nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Today, that means bringing impeachment charges against Mr Obama."
It is the responsibility of the president and Congress to protect us, and a strong military is one of the things we must have, especially today. Congress should stop stuffing bills with pork. A bill for war funding should be just that, war funding and nothing else. It appears that Congress got the message on this one. It is not the responsibiolity of the Federal government to insure pay for teachers or any other group.
The House is expected to vote Tuesday on a scaled-back version of its
original war funding bill, which would drop billions of dollars for
unrelated domestic programs, including money to help struggling states
avoid teacher layoffs.
The Liberal/Progressives do not play fair, they will tell you one thing and do the other, they will smile to your face and stab you in the back. Next on the Republican agenda must be to get rid of everyone that Obama hired. We know now that he and the Democrats conspired with the media not to do their jobs, not to report the news, but to lie, slant, misdirect, whatever they needed to do to get Obama elected. We now have the proof. We will not stoop to their level, but please -- have the balls to stand up and call them out on all the damage they have done, on all the questionable associations they had and continue to have.
Conservatives must not allow the lapdog media to set the agenda, to cow our candidates, to skew the truth. Conservative Republicans must get tough. Call out the Democrats, shine the light of truth upon them and their supporters.
Obama religion adviser Ebo Patel has close ties to a radical Muslim group that was an un-indicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas -- the Islamic Society of North America, or ISNA, has an extensive relationship with the Obama administration. Patel is not alone in his terror connections, many of the Obama administration and the untold numbers of "advisers" are also guilty and need to be fired immediately.

JournoList, was not just a bunch of "liberal' journos with too much time on there hands.
It
was a network of high level opinion makers, united by a "progressive"
vision for America. They believed that their superior judgement and
insight, obligated them to present Americans with a view of reality,
that they would be too stupid and reactionary to grasp unaided.
At least a few, perhaps many, were committed marxists who saw journalism, not as a profession, but as a revolutionary tool.
This
disgraceful episode should dispel forever the "progressive" lie, that
the American MainStreamMedia and its "liberal" core, can be trusted to

Amen. no more sissy headlines like "GOP exercises discretion on Rangel". Highlight their crimes and beat them over the head with them. Figuratively of course. Let the campaigning begin and let's hear this agenda from the candidates.
