News Blackout

I declared myself a much needed news blackout starting early yesterday morning through this moment on Sunday.  No news, no Internet, no TV, no nothing.  What a nice respite from the continuous bombardment of bad news from this administration.  One thing that did happen and must be noted is the beginning of Pre-Season Football.  Arrrrgh.  I'm not a football fan at all, but I will follow the Tennessee Titans and the Colts with Peyton Manning.

The Titans played the Seattle Seahawks last night and as you can see from the picture, they are continuing with their pale blue wimpy uniforms.  They should have learned their lesson last year and revamped their uniforms to something much tougher looking.

I could be wrong, or not: "The Tennessee Titans are led by head coach Jeff Fisher who had a record of 8-8 last NFL season. The Tennessee Titans are currently favored at 28/1 betting odds to win Super Bowl XLV."

The Seahawks looked mean in last night's game.  No wimpy uniforms there. 

Ok, I know this is silly, so all you real football fans feel free to post what you think about the new season.  Who are your likes, and dislikes.  You do you think has a chance at the Super Bowl and why?

What teams sucked last year and will continue to suck this year, in your opinion?

Oh, the Titans lost to the Seahawks, 20 - 18.  Yes it's just pre-season and they are working out the kinks.  Hopefully they will do better when the games really count.

i'm no stripe of a football fan but I think Peyton's so cute in his new zig-zaggy shoe commercial! And you're right: the light-blue uniforms look girly. It's proven that teams wearing navy blue or BLACK are more intimidating to their opponents and therefore win more! And I'm with you on the "stop the noise" thing. I quit listening to and watching Fox News almost entirely. I just watch a few minutes a day now to make sure I haven't missed anything! Too much negativity and nonsense.

Anytime I am not familiar with more than a couple of names on the defensive squad, I get nervous. This is the case with the Titans. Who are those guys on defense anyway? All their big name defenders are gone.

For the record, the guys with the baddest uniforms are the Pittsburgh Steelers with black jerseys, gold pants, and those awesome black helmets. They just look like they are ready to kick someone's a** even if they suck.
