The United States is broke, but we just gave the Palestinians another $150 million dollars on top of all the previous millions. But the government is not done taking your money yet.   Obama supports a so-called "Robin Hood tax," aimed at collecting money  from rich nations and giving it to the poor   ...

...  the 'Palestinian Authority' is using your tax dollars to put up an Arafat Museum to honor the man who murdered Americans and had two American diplomats kidnapped and tortured to death. The cost? Taking more of your money for other nations:

... the [Robin Hood] tax's supporters, which include unions, environmental groups, Comic Relief, UNICEF and others in a multinational coalition, say the tax could go to canceling debt from poor nations. Or it could be used for social programs to fight hunger, diseases such as HIV/AIDS and malaria or other causes, programs to which the United States and other nations already donate billions.

The crusaders -- a coalition of 183 organizations from 42 countries -- issued a plea this week urging leaders at the G-20 summit in South Korea to adopt the measure. While specifics have not been outlined, the idea would be to charge a small transaction fee, anywhere from 0.05 percent to 1 percent, on each stock transaction made.  (Fox News)

The  bi-partican presidential commission on the deficit is proposing we cease funding the United Nations.  I've been pushing for that for years, it's a great idea.   

Erskine Bowles, chief of staff to former President Bill Clinton, and retired Sen. Alan Simpson, (R-Wyo.) gave up trying to get the 16 other members of the presidential commission on the deficit they co-chair to compromise and reach a consensus by a Dec. 1 deadline.

  So, without any warning, the two unveiled an ambitious plan of their own – one that would cut $200 billion in spending by 2015, raise taxes by $100 billion, and continue deficit cutting until 2020.   (Politico)
