The Council has spoken,

the votes have been cast, and the results are in for this week, carved eternally in the hewn stone halls of our hidden fortress.

This week we ended up with tie between Joshuapundit’s piece, Norwegian Ambassador : The Oslo Attacks And Palestinian Terrorism Are ‘Different’ , an examination of a particularly ugly and inhumane bit of Leftist hypocrisy and a few facts about the Oslo attacks that you might not know about and Syria Soft! , by GrEaT sAtAn”S gIrLfRiEnD, an excellent examination of the situation there in her own sparkling one-of-a-kind style.

In accordance with our bylaws any ties between my fellow Council members and I are always resolved in favor of the former, and especially given that it’s this good I’m more than happy in this case to put on my Watcher’s hat and name GrEaT sAtAn”S gIrLfRiEnD as this week’s winner for Syria Soft! Here’s a slice:

If money is the root of all evil, then China's manipulation of its currency, the yuan, is the tap root of everything wrong with the U.S. -China trade relationship. For more than a decade, chronic U.S. trade deficits with China have dramatically slowed America's economic growth rate and spiked our unemployment rate. Yet it would be impossible for China to keep sucking the lifeblood out of the American economy without its fangs of currency manipulation. 

China manipulates its currency by artificially "pegging" the Chinese yuan to the U.S. dollar at a grossly undervalued fixed exchange rate. To understand why this debilitates the American economy, it is critical to understand that any nation's economy is driven by only four factors: consumption, business investment, government spending, and "net exports." 

This last growth driver -- net exports -- is the most important for our discussion of Chinese currency manipulation because it measures the difference between how much we export to the world minus how much we import. And here is a critical observation that underscores the essential role that net exports 
play in our economy: 

"Mr. Obama" Strikes Again

“Mr. Obama” has for the last 2 plus years worked very hard to erase the existence of a working economy by the spending of Trillions of Dollars and increasing the public debt only our Grandchildren can pay off. 

So why should we as Americans think that “Mr. Obama” actually cares if the spending limit is raised or not? If the limit is not raised, wouldn’t the resulting financial problems play into his desire to cause an overload of our financial system ensuring its crash? Resulting in anarchy in the markets and violence in the streets? “Mr. Obama” has stated quite clearly that he cares little about those that need Social Security and Medicare as he has removed 500B$ from Medicare to provide the much vaunted Medical care for the elderly, but only through his national health plan.

The floated idea of him unilaterally raising the spending limit is just a “Red Herring” to take Americans minds off the more important matter of stopping the digging of ourselves into an even more huge hole in our financial back yard!

When one is climbing a rope, gravity, in our case, the public debt, is always nipping at your heels. Regardless of the strength of your hands, arms and legs. the only way to release the pressure is to lower oneself on the rope to the location where, gravity, in our case the public debt, no longer has sway over our lives! The only way to keep this situation from continuing is to lower expenditures in this and every budget and to insure that we stop the immediate availability of an unending source of “free money”.

With all the tents and protests and the summer heat, it seems as though we’ve regressed back to the desert under Moses’ leadership. However, unlike then, we can’t expect any miracles. Thousands of rent-free houses won’t suddenly appear, with G-d grimacing as the people rush, and trample over each-other in their haste to stake their own. He’ll sigh to Moses, “until when will they doubt me?” and send a plague to strike the impertinent ones.

No, that won’t happen. The age of miracles is over. We have to work it out by ourselves and if we succeed – then we can take that as a sign that G-d is with us. Bibi has given a plan. Fischer has endorsed it. The protesters should be pleased. They are; they’re getting plenty of press and people all over are joining them. At this point if houses fell like manna from heaven they would turn up their noses and say, “that’s been tried historically. It’s a step forward, but it’s not good enough.”

What do they really want? They want the leader replaced. Watch out, Bibi, ‘Korach’ is upon you.

YOUTHS AT NORWEGIAN CAMP CALLED FOR "BOYCOTT OF ISRAEL"

According to combined news sources, just two days before gunman Anders Behring Breivik opened fire on teenagers participating in Norway's ruling party youth camp on the island of Utoya, the campers met with Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere and demanded he recognize the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

 

The Norwegian web site "Politisk" reported that in his address, Mr. Gahr Stoere told the youngsters that the Palestinians deserve a country of their own and that the Israeli occupation must end." Several of the youths waved signs reading, "Boycott Israel" as the foreign minister further told them that Oslo is waiting for the official Palestinian proposal to be submitted to the UN in September.  Earlier last week, this information was corroborated Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas visited Norway and was told that Oslo will recognize Palestine.

The State of the Arab State

From the Mashriq to the Maghreb, one end of the Arab world to the other, people are contemplating where the six-month-long upheavals that began with the Arab Spring are fated to deliver them.  Those with longer memories may recall the dramatic summer fifty years ago when an earlier experiment at reshaping the political contours of Arab governance came unraveled: the 1961 breakup of the United Arab Republic (UAR).

Declared in February 1958, the UAR was the union of Syria and Egypt. It was created in response to Syrian lobbying of Egypt's Gamal Nasser for an alliance and was popularly backed in both countries. The ideal of pan-Arab unity was all the rage and the hope was that other states, beginning with Iraq, would join.

Pan-Arabism was seen as a workaround for the lack of legitimacy of most Arab leaders as well as the political systems they oversaw. Nasser, by dint of his charismatic personality, had enjoyed an almost mystical sense of baraka, or God-given grace.  But the rulers of Saudi Arabia and Jordan perceived the pan-Arab model as a threat to their own religious-based claims for legitimacy, and even a new Iraqi government, purportedly favorable to pan-Arabism, found reasons not to join.

Muslim Doctor Ring Perpetrated Immigration Fraud, Over $3 Million in Medicare Fraud

Over the years, I’ve told you about Muslim doctors who’ve committed murder and/or deliberately caused their Jewish and Christian patients to die. And then there are the other Muslim doctor terrorists. It’s not such an exclusive club, and it’s growing. There’s

Dr. Nidal Malik Hasan, who murdered 12 U.S. soldiers at Fort Hood. And there’s medical student Houssein Zorkot, who was conducting Hezbollah training exercises in a Dearbornistan park. And Palestinian Muslim, Dr. Yazeed Essa, who poisoned his wife. Don’t forget Dr. Yasser Awaad, who deliberately wrongly diagnosed thousands of children, saying they had epilepsy and prescribing them dangerous medications . . . all to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars (and then he fled to Saudi Arabia). And, as we know, it was a ring of Muslim doctors who sought entry to the U.S. who perpetrated a series of Islamic terrorist attacks in Great Britain, including at a Scottish airport, just a few years ago. Now, there’s yet another reason not to go to a Muslim doc: he may not be licensed and might be using you to commit Medicare (and immigration) fraud.

A Muslim doctor and two other Muslims, one of whom is a Syrian native, ran a home healthcare business in suburban Chicago and were doing exactly that. They’ve just been indicted. They got incredibly rich off of your tax dollars. **** UPDATE: And one of them, Mohammed K. Rashed, is a Chicago Department of Transportation official who is already pulling in over $102,000 per year as a city engineer.
