“Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts for the mutual degradation of their bodies. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for the unnatural, and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Males did shameful things with males and thus received in their own persons the due penalty for their perversity. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God handed them over to their undiscerning mind to do what is improper. They are filled with every form of wickedness, evil, greed, and malice; full of envy, murder, rivalry, treachery, and spite. They are gossips and scandalmongers and they hate God. They are insolent, haughty, boastful, ingenious in their wickedness, and rebellious toward their parents. They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” ROMANS 1:24-32 NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
There remains a growing incredulity within the world today that God can be silenced. Ignored, perhaps, but only amongst those who believe that the finite human mind can conceive of distancing themselves from the omnipotent. Those who swirl within insolence, haughtiness, boastfulness, and ingenious wickedness often attribute great wonders to their deeds through the complexity of their deceits. They would rather burden their limited minds with affronts to God than the more genuine denial of servitude. That is, they would rather disrupt the intrinsic economy of adjustment than admit that they may not always deserve what they seek.
Take the notorious case of Chaz nee Chastity Bono, for instance. More scientific and monetary effort had been applied to transform the former daughter of Sonny and Cher into the darling of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) community than would be required to readjust the individual’s thoughts back into natural rhythm. Now, this sorely tainted individual has invited to appear upon a nationally syndicated dancing competition for famous people. Why? Has Chaz Bono achieved any degree of success, popularity, or financial gain beyond that explicitly endorsed by the LGBT crowd?
Equally damaging for the nation and the world is the notion that such transformations are duly accorded the same rights and privileges of racial minorities. Is the abomination of Chaz Bono in any way reflective of being from African, Asian, or Native American stock? Of course not. Civil Liberties are based exclusively upon the appearance of an individual as defined by their creation under God. That is, such “human rights” come from the natural order and hail from God alone, not transient government institutions. Or, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us, human rights arise “prior to society and must be recognized by it” and represent “the basis of moral legitimacy of every authority” and “by flouting them, or refusing to recognize them in its positive legislation, a society undermines its own moral legitimacy.” (Paragraph #1930).
