Shuck and Jive President

Can't write, can't read, can't speak, without a puppeteer's hand up his back.  The following article by Jack Cashill at The American Thinker, Early Obama Letter Confirms Inability to Write,  proves what a true shuck and jive president Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama truly is. Here's an excerpt:

On November 16, 1990, Barack Obama, then president of the Harvard Law Review, published a letter in the Harvard Law Record, an independent Harvard Law School newspaper, championing affirmative action.  [snip]

The response is classic Obama: patronizing, dishonest, syntactically muddled, and grammatically challenged.  In the very first sentence Obama leads with his signature failing, one on full display in his earlier published work: his inability to make subject and predicate agree.

"Since the merits of the Law Review's selection policy has been the subject of commentary for the last three issues," wrote Obama, "I'd like to take the time to clarify exactly how our selection process works."

If Obama were as smart as a fifth-grader, he would know, of course, that "merits ... have."  Were there such a thing as a literary Darwin Award, Obama could have won it on this on one sentence alone.  He had vindicated Chen in his first ten words.

Although the letter is fewer than a thousand words long, Obama repeats the subject-predicate error at least two more times.  In one sentence, he seemingly cannot make up his mind as to which verb option is correct so he tries both: "Approximately half of this first batch is chosen ... the other half are selected ... "

Another distinctive Obama flaw is to allow a string of words to float in space.  Please note the unanchored phrase in italics at the end of this sentence:

"No editors on the Review will ever know whether any given editor was selected on the basis of grades, writing competition, or affirmative action, and no editors who were selected with affirmative action in mind."  Huh?

The next lengthy sentence highlights a few superficial style flaws and a much deeper flaw in Obama's political philosophy.

Obama is not alone in his failures.  The article addresses Michelle Obama too:

Scarier than Obama's style, however, is his thinking.  A neophyte race-hustler after his three years in Chicago, Obama is keen to browbeat those who would "even insinuate" that affirmative action rewards the undeserving, results in inappropriate job placements, or stigmatizes its presumed beneficiaries.

In the case of Michelle Obama, affirmative action did all three. (read it all, read the comments too)

We have an affirmative action president and first lady, unable to write their own books;  unable to speak for two minutes without a teleprompter (and a backup); unable to keep a real job;  and unable to keep a law license -- and yet they are in the position to run this country into the ground financially, set race relations back, and increase the welfare state.  Heaven help us all.

Letter to The Honourable Prime Minister David Cameron

Dear Prime Minister David Cameron:

 

Once again I implore you that a "clean house," is the only way to achieve the kind of compassionate, honest, good-natured society for which you have indicated a preference.  When countries turn against the Jewish people and Israel, as many have throughout history, they have themselves fallen to the depths of despair.  That is because the Jews and Israel have always stood for the Golden Rule - equality for all, kindness for all, offering humanitarian aid when countries come on hard times, such as the spate of earthquakes, tsunamis, medical disasters, etc. 

 

But when the media is permitted (and not discouraged) to wantonly side with countries that engage in religious tyranny, slavery, oppression, subjugation, amputations and decapitations and death to the non-comformists, evil reigns supreme, and you can see this in your news media. 

Concerning the J Street Campaign

J Street, which always supports the Palestinian narrative, held a campaign in Cleveland, Ohio for a two-state solution in Israel.   Palestinians threaten Israel with non-defensible borders and violence versus a unilateral declaration for statement and violence.  Israeli housing construction brings violence, and a construction freeze brought violence.  Ariel Sharon’s visit to the Temple Mount caused violence, and the Fogel family asleep in their home caused violence.

It is time to realize that Arabs bring violence worldwide, and no nation promises to defend Israel – or themselves.  Not only is Israel attacked, but so are other nations who are reluctant to admit that Islam has declared war on them – Africa, England, Norway, Turkey, etc.  Each Israeli act of defense brings a plea for calm from Arabs – a hudna – until terrorist rebuild their strength and attack again.

The Talmud says, “If a man comes to kill you, rise up and kill him first.”  It is time for Israel to declare a one-state solution on her entire lawful land, and the 1.5 billion Arabs and Muslims can find a way to re-absorb the brethren they abandoned and neglected in 1948, and re-absorb them in land that is 625 times larger than the Jewish State, where they can live in the unrest and Islamic tyranny of the culture begun in 624 AD.

 Until the entire world arises against the threat of global Islamization, Israel must always be prepared for more violence – and we must also be vigilant if we want to save our democracy.

Single Parent Adoptions: Why Not?

 According to the National Council For Adoption (NCFA), as of 1997 there were half a million children in substitute care. About 22 percent of those, over 100,000 children, will be in need of a permanent home with a family. Adoption offers a wonderful opportunity for a child in need of a family. This is the focus of the adoption philosophy. 

For parentless children, adoption provides the nurturing, love, and security that all children deserve. More than just providing a loving and safe environment like fostering children, adoption is a lifetime commitment to the health and welfare of another human being. In order to best secure families that will provide the best environment for a child, adoption agencies have established a set of qualifications for adoptive parents. The criteria are based on various aspects of the prospective adopting parents: age, fertility status, previous children, financial status, employment, religion, background, and marital status. All of these are important issues to consider when placing a child in a new family, however, marital status seems to be the primary focus of some debate. Concerns over single parent adoptions should be laid to rest by the many benefits singles have to offer children in need of a home.

Obama:

Barack Obama says you can pay tribute to those who died on September 11, 2001  by serving through his website serve.gov,... but, but, but Mayor Bloomberg says those who actually served on September 11, 2001 cannot attend memorial services.  Bloomberg who also said "we are all Muslims now" while addressing a Ramadan dinner, is not allowing any clergy at the memorial service.  I doubt Obama even reads the messages posted at Whitehouse.gov and I feel sure he does not write those messages.

I've got news for Obama, Americans serve their fellow citizens every day of the year, and don't need him to ask for their service.  Any time there is a need here at home or abroad,  Americans step up and volunteer their time, money, possessions, abilities. 

On September 11, 2001 we will REMEMBER and HONOR those who died in the attacks, those who responded to help and lost their lives or their good health in the process.

On September 11, 2001, as we have done every day of every year over the past ten years, we will remember WHO ATTACKED US and who the enemy is.  I wish Barack and Michelle would do the same, rather than trying to change what the true meaning of the day is.  Never fear, they will show up at Ground Zero, in Shanksville, and at the Pentagon to get their camera time.

All Americans can pay tribute to those who lost their lives during 9/11 by visiting Serve.Gov to find ways to help within their own communities.  Through even the smallest of actions, we can reclaim the sense of unity that followed the attacks, and demonstrate that our sense of common purpose is just as strong today as it was ten years ago.  Americans can once again come together to mark this solemn anniversary with service, and move towards a bright future as one nation.  (read it all at Whitehouse.gov)

How About No Politicians At Ground Zero on September 11?

Since New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is prohibiting all first responders and all clergy from the Ground Zero memorial services on the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, how about the people of this nation standing up and demanding no politicians there either?   Bloomberg is an idiot and a disgrace. It is also a disgrace that the towers were not rebuilt immediately.  Yet we still have a gaping hole there instead.  The Anchoress takes him to task:

So, let me get this straight, just so we’re all on the same page, here.

When two hijacked, terrorist-piloted passenger jets were deliberately flown into the Twin Towers, in an act of war against our nation, the first recorded casualty was a Roman Catholic priest and NYFD chaplain — Fr. Mychal Judge — who had ridden to the burning towers, and blessed doomed firefighters, hearing last confessions on the way.

And while Judge’s body was being carried away from the catastrophe by the firefighters who loved him, and whom he loved, First Responders from all ranks, all units, all departments were heading toward that disaster area, not running away, intent on saving as many human lives as possible, even as they weighed the terrible odds. They went up the stairs, while office workers went down. Some of them were kissed by a blind man’s guide-dog, as they passed.

Of the First Responders, 343 members of the FDNY lost their lives. The NYPD lost 23. The Port Authority Police lost 37. Of the 2998 killed at Ground Zero, 403 of them were First Responders, and one of them was a priest. That’s what, about 12% of the total?

In the days, weeks and months after 9/11, Rescue workers from all over the country showed up at Ground Zero to lend a hand, first at recovery, and then at debris removal. And, as Sr. Mary Ann Walsh details, here, lots of priests were there, too, from the first day, and for months afterward.  [big snip]

And the clergy were not represented only by Catholic priests; there were Rabbis and Protestant ministers; Orthodox priests and Muslim clergy. And nuns, too, and everyday people of great faith, or no faith at all, who understood that something greater than opinions or ideology or theology or social theory or doubt was before them.

But now — understanding all of that — we read that New York City’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg is not inviting First Responders to observe the tenth anniversary of this day of death and sacrifice, at Ground Zero.

And we read, also that Mayor Bloomberg’s guest list is empty of any clergy, as well.

There will be no prayers at his little shindig. Heaven, forbid.

Apparently, there’s just not enough room for all the First Responders who want to be there, because there are so many important people who must be there! They cannot be denied their photo-op, and their speechifying, and their postures and poses, even though most of them were not even in office on that dreadful day.  (read it all, much more, at the Anchoress)

Well, first responders, clergy and American patriots DO MATTER to the rest of us.  Bloomberg isn't the boss of Americans.  There will be other memorials organized by other Americans with no political agenda.

 

Texas Gov. Rick Perry asks DHS to reimburse the state $350 million for imprisoning illegal immigrants.

Good luck collecting  that $350 million from the feds, but good for Perry making the effort.  The letter was sent before Perry announced his run for President.  The States need to start standing up to the feds.

In a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the top-tier Republican presidential candidate blamed the federal government for not securing the border with Mexico, allowing illegal immigrants to cross over and use taxpayer-funded resources. He said resources for county jails are being depleted as a result. [snip]

In his two-page letter to Napolitano, Perry described the formula he used to determine the costs, including $94.4 million to cover the costs incurred by county jails.

"During tough economic times, when communities are making difficult decisions about their own budgets, Texas counties are being asked to cover more than $94.4 million in direct costs related to housing illegal immigrants while the state has been left to cover more than $254.8 million in such costs."

He included a memo from Comptroller Susan Combs in which she supports his calculations but warns that the estimates are conservative.

"The longstanding failure of the federal government to secure our border with Mexico continues to burden local communities and resources in Texas," Perry wrote. "Because there are not enough troops on the ground, illegal immigrants are able to penetrate the Texas border every day and use taxpayer-funded resources."  (read it all at the AP)
