Herman Cain, Gloria Allred, Sharon Bialek --UPDATE--

I watched the press conference with Gloria Allred and Sharon Bialek and found the pre-statement part quite strange.  I find it very difficult to take anything Glorial Allred says seriously, she is nothing more than an ambulance chaser, publicity hound, and Democrat partisan.  As to Sharon Bialek and whether her statement is true or not, I can't say.  I can say she acted like a silly teenager while standing behind Allred, giggling, laughing, smiling.  This is still a he-said, she-said.  Bialek claims at the time of the incident she told her boyfriend and another male friend about the incident, but not the details of the incident, which makes any documents they sign simply heresay I would suspect.

She said:

 ...he suddenly reached over and he put his hand on my leg under my skirt and reached for my genitals. He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch. I was very, very surprised and very shocked. I said, “What are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend. This isn’t what I came here for.”

Mr. Cain said, ‘You want a job, right?’ I asked him to stop, and he did. I asked him to take me back to my hotel, which he did right away.

He said:

...  All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone.

The 12-year-old story of the sexually harassed during Herman Cain’s tenure of the National Restaurant Association is not a story about the sexually harassed or even about Herman Cain.

It is the contemporary story about how a corrupt, state controlled media is trying to make innuendo “The News”.

On a personal note, if I ever wanted to talk with someone about the possibility of a job, I would go to their office during business hours, I would not meet them at a hotel, have drinks and dinner, go riding around in their car at night, and accept an upgrade from a hotel room to a suite -- if  those things ever happened.  With Gloria Allred as the mouthpiece, I have my doubts.

There are lots of unanswered questions.

According to Chuck Goudie at ABClocal.go.com, Bialek has held numerous jobs, had a child out of wedlock and has two personal bankruptcies on her record.  Apparently, Bialek has struggled financially. 

All that does not mean she is lying, but ... it calls into question whether there is a financial pay off somewhere down the line, via Gloria Allred et al

Any "respectable" woman that I know of would have punched the guy in the face who "reached over and ...put his hand on [the woman's] leg under [the woman's] skirt and reached for [the woman's] genitals" let alone grabbing their head and bringing it towards his crotch.

At which case, the woman would have probably called for the cops and somebody else an ambulance for the guy.

Funny, how this took 15 years to make it into the headlines, considering how Cain was a business and national leader at the time...

I would never support any one who was guilty of sexual harassment, but in this case I'm not convinced.

If this woman is truly a TEA party person, she would have known NOT to go to Gloria Allred.

If she were truly serious about what she was saying and the reason she was coming forward, why was she giggling, laughing, and having a jolly old time at the presser?

Given the sliming and smearing the media has done in the past against conservatives, i tend not to trust them in such matters.

As I listened to her story there were some GLARING points that made absolutely NO sense what so ever.

1 - Any woman I know would have had red flags waving in their head after seeing the lavish room they were put up in with a complete stranger thank for it. Why didn't this woman experience those red flags?

2 - Why does a woman with a 'boyfriend' agree to have dinner ALONE with a married man?

3 - When the physical 'altercation' happened why didn't she contact the police or run screaming from the scene? That was an assault (if it happened).
