Democracy in America at the Economist is live blogging the Republican debate tonight at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. There is also a live feed you can follow of the debate at Legal Insurrection. I'm hoping that real Conservatives will rally behind Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, or Rick Perry when it comes time to vote, but tonight all eyes are on the latest debate and all eyes seem to be on the two flip-floppers, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.
Bob Scheiffer of CBS reports on a new poll where 75% of those polled believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and 66% have no idea what Obama wants to accomplish if reelected - Right Scoop has the video.
Will be adding my thoughts and your comments on the debate below.

Snake Hunter Sez,
Everyone should have the right to independently choose their favorite candidate...and say so publicly, but I'll be damned if I can understand why the author of this piece continues to bum-rap the two most articulate candidates in the national polls with terms like "flip-flopper".
This election will determine whether this great republic will stand or fall, permanently into the catagory of a third-world nation. That's a risk I'm not willing to take.
You might have the eat those foolish words in the Summer of Campaign 2012 when both Romney & Gingrich are still the top favorites to beat...
Whimpy O-Bla-bla!
