Is Obama Insane or just a traitor? I missed this one yesterday, but according to a Reuters article by Jim Wolf “The Obama administration disclosed on Tuesday that it is considering sharing some classified U.S. data as part of an effort to allay Russian concerns about a controversial anti-missile shield.” http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/07/usa-russia-missiledefense-idUSL2E8E6EL920120307
You read that right! The author goes on to claim that according to Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Brad Roberts this plan was begun under the Bush administration (so did Robert Gates role as Secretary of Defense – hmmm). “The Obama administration is pursuing this cooperation because it would be in the security interests of the United States, NATO and Russia by strengthening the defensive capabilities of both NATO and Russia, Roberts said.”
The original purpose of NATO was, in the words of its first Secretary General “to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down”. When did this change? Clearly it was not the case while George W. Bush was president – remember he was willing to build a missile shield in Eastern Europe to protect that part of the world from Russia. Obama cancelled this program.
Russia and the United States are not friends - we do not need to “allay their concerns”. That is not the role of the United States. Our role in this world is to defeat tyranny – not to satisfy the wants, concerns, or demands of tyrannies.
Just who will this plan really benefit? Why Russia of course. And who will it damage the most? The United States. Who says Barry is stupid – this is exactly what he wants.
