A survey by Public Policy Polling (PPP) asked Republicans, "Do you think Barack Obama is a Christian or a Muslim, or are you not sure?" Results below. What would your answer be?
... Guess how many say Christian? 14%! Among the remaining 86%, "Muslim" slightly leads "not sure," 45%-41%. ("Not sure" may by the demographic Rick Santorum is reaching out to when he accuses Obama of peddling a "phony theology.")
But the Alabama Republicans are a thoroughly trusting lot in comparison with their Mississippi brethren. Among Mississippi Republicans, just 12% say Christian, 52% say Muslim, and 36% aren't sure. (NYMag)
The full survey has a lot more information than whether Southern voters think Obama is Muslim. I'm betting those surveyed were not asked WHY they think Obama is a Muslim. Now that would have made an interesting article. Of course the purpose of conducting the survey in the first place, at least the purpose of the above article's selective reporting, was to paint voters in Alabama and Mississippi (and thus the entire South) as ignorant backwoods rubes.
NYMag didn't find it worthwhile to report that voters prefer Rick Santorum over Mitt Romney 43% to 40%. You can see the full survey here. However they did find it worthy to report that the majority in those surveyed do not believe in evolution either. Keep in mind that PPP surveys are generally Liberally slanted. No Democrats were surveyed.
It's your turn: Do you think Barack Hussein Obama is a Christian or a Muslim, or are you not sure?

LEE PAPA: I think Santorum and Gingrich split the yahoos in Alabama and Romney just flat out wins Mississippi. (listen to audio here)

Judging by his actions I could not conclude he is Christian. By his actions I could conclude he is Muslim. He says he is Christian and not Muslim. I guess that settles the matter - he is Muslim.

Well, Grouch, according to the CIA -- and I am a strong believer that Obama is some protected Agency asset (among the view of many Agency personnel) -- Kenya's population is about 10% Muslim. ;o)

He isn't?

As the Bible says 'Judge not, that ye be not judged.", so I cannot know what is in his heart. However, the Bible also says "...by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7)
Obama's actions seem to indicate he certainly has Muslim sympathies. Also Muslims see him as one of their own because of his history, Muslim father, early Islamic schooling, etc.
My vote: Mixed up Muslim, with Black Liberation Theology hatred and Socialist mentors. All those add up to a dangerous leader for this country.

Well, to me, it is obvious that he is not a Christian, because he celebrates many Muslim holidays, and ignored the Christian ones. He supports abortion, homosexual marriage, ignored the National Day of Prayer and claimed that the United States was no longer a Christian nation.
And he is from Kenya, NOT Hawaii.

None of the above - he is either an atheist or is an Obamatron - after all, he IS the Messiah. Of course his father was a Moslem which makes him one, and his mother was an Atheist, as were her parents who raised him, and his mentors like FMD and Rev. Wright were BLOs (Black Liberation Operatives). So there you have it - what we do know is that he is clearly isn't a Christian.

"Do you think Barack Hussein Obama is a Christian or a Muslim, or are you not sure?"
Neither, he's supportive of muslims and islam in general and he's hostile to Christians. I doubt he even believes in God.
