Cardinal Donald Wuerl, the archbishop of Washington, D.C., states that the way ObamaCare’s contraceptives mandate religious exemption is worded, “even the work of Mother Teresa wouldn’t be qualified as religious. ...Contrary to America’s great tradition of religious freedom, embodied in the First Amendment, Catholic institutions will now be forced to act against their conscience and provide coverage for drugs and procedures they believe are morally wrong, simply because they serve people of all faiths or no faith equally.” In The Obama Timeline, Don Fredrick points out that "The religious exemption does not apply if the organization or charity provides assistance to individuals of a faith other than that of the organization. A Catholic charity can receive the exemption, for example, only if the recipients are also Catholics. Many Catholic charities serve Protestant blacks in the inner cities, and would therefore not be entitled to the Obamacare exemption."

Just Thinking: I think that I can put this in a perspective that the American mainstream doesn't realize. The following thought is important. The oldest religions in the world provide assistance to peoples of different faiths and from different cultures, all religions except one, which isn't one of the oldest and isn't really a religion, but a dogma, a dogma of evil if you will. That is Islam. Islam never assists persons of other faiths or from cultures that are not Islamic. To do so would be against the Koran and the hadiths of Mohammed. As such only Islam is entitled to the exemption from Obamacare. Could this be another method by which Barack Hussein Obama is assisting Islam, thereby making sure that Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, and any other Christian organization, slowly but surely, will not be officially qualified as religions by government decree, thus leaving Islam as the only legally defined religion in the United States of America, where there should be freedom of religion, but where there won't be? My logic tells me that this alone is grounds enough to make ObamaCare unconstitutional!!!

Lets put it this way, If Obama gets reelected this Nation that we all love will be finished as we knew it, and you know it.
And to those who enjoyed and had no problems bashing George Bush for eight years, I say deal with it!

The idea that Obama is assisting Islam is interesting. He may be inadvertently assisting Islam by trying to wipe out any public practice of other religions, wanting to keep religion inside the church and out of the public, out of schools, out of hospitals, etc.

I'm not sure if this would be his main goal because I think Obama is more of a socialist than he is a muslim. He cares more for POWER, his power and government power than he does any religion. Just my opinion.

Debbie, you are ignoring the fact that Islam is not really a religion - it is a poltical-cultural constrict masquerading as a religion. There is no separation of mosque & state in Islam. Islam is ideally suited for tyranny (raw power)so while yes he is a communist (socialist is too mild a term) he is also a muslim and his religion is power, so being a moslem fits perfect. While you are right in a sense, his definition of religion (for himself & Islam) allows only for power and not what any true member of the West would consider religion.

Susan: Exactly right, and I mentioned that to the author in an email, I forgot to mention it here. Islam is a 24/7, every breath they take, political organization.

Islam is separate and apart from any true religion.

President Obama is pushing the Catholic Church towards making a "political" determination. Then, he can argue that the Church is really a political organization and confiscate its buildings, hospitals, schools, etc. under an already oppressive tax code.
