That's the headline concerning Afghanistan: Air strikes on civilian homes are not allowed — even if the residences are being used by militants. As Danger Room reports, the commander of coalition forces has issued a new order, severely restricting an air war that was already near its all-time low.
The story is the same, has been for years. the US military take out a really bad buy with a missile or bomb. Obviously they are not civilians, they are the enemy, enemy combatants. Anyone living with them in the same hut should be considered fair collateral damage, in my opinion.
Go back to Iraq when al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had a bomb dropped on him, his wives, and his fellow terrorists along with his leopard skin nightie -- boom. Bad guy and associates gone. Good.
Move forward to Afghanistan and Pakistan, present day. We drop a missile on a bad guy, people come forward with some dead bodies, we don't really know where they came from, the screaming woman, the dead baby or empty prop caskets. What do we do?
We give them hundreds of thousands of dollars because we are so sorry for killing civilians. A few thousand dollars in that part of the world is like making a millionare out of some goat herder. And the money in most cases goes right back to terrorists and aids them in killing more real innocents, or worse, American soldiers.
Our military and government has become so politically correct we cannot even kill our sworn enemy without dropping to our knees, begging for forgiveness, paying money we don't have, and looking like gutless, tooth-less saps.
Excuse me for the rant, but you know every word of this is true.
It has been well documented that the Palestinians have been using this type of propaganda against the Israelis year after year.
They drag out Muslim rage boy, the wailing women, the same child's toy used over and over in image after image, the same prop caskets used over and over in image after image.
The enemy cries "but there was a wedding going on" you killed innocent guests at the wedding. My answer: If you are attending a wedding ceremony at the house of a terrorist, then you deserve to get splattered in the rubble along with him.
And our military is not smart enough to figure this out. We might as well pack up every one of our soldiers and all of our equipment and leave TODAY.

I used to say, Keep our soldiers there so they can get the job done; now I say, Bring them home, you're wasting their time and talent...and their lives.

I'd say it time to pull up our tent pegs and hit the ejection button as well. These 7th century savages are just playing us for fools and extorting as money much as possible. The time for winning it was 8 to 10 years ago, and Obummer has made sure we don't have a hope in hell of winning it now. Not to mention Karzai has turned into a complete douchebag and is'nt really our allie anymore. Let them have their friggin Talishit government , and revert back to the 7th century....they seem to like it that way.

If we're not going to let our guys do what they think is right, we need to get them HOME....it's stupid enough to be 'PC' here let alone at war.
We're fighting an enemy who thinks the more collateral damage the better...we're the only people with our hands tied behind our backs by liberal buffoons.
Time to COME HOME. how sad.

I agree with the above sentiments. Our enemy is one that welcomes -- and arranges for -- "collateral damage" as a propaganda tool. Innocent lives mean nothing to Islamofascists.
If we're not going to give our military the tools and the freedom they need to do the job right, we need to bring them home. They're too good of people to waste.
