NEW YORK – As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obama’s practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues.
Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992.
Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no god except Allah.”

The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet.
Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a person’s rejection of all other gods.
Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obama’s ring at WND’s request and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it.
“There can be no doubt that someone wearing the inscription ‘There is no god except Allah’ has a very close connection to Islamic beliefs, the Islamic religion and Islamic society to which this statement is so strongly attached,” Gabriel told WND. (continue reading at WND)

I didn't need to know about the ring to know he was a Muslim. Anyone who bothered to read his biographies in 2008 knew he was a communist, anyone who looked on Wikipedia in 2008 knew that that church in Chicago wasn't really Christian. And therefore he should not have been elected (since when does America want a communist in the WH). But his actions, even during the 1st year, made it clear that his loyalty lay with Islam.

The leftist’s, the Independent’s, and the undecided can now easily make up their minds. After yesterdays hearing, there shouldn’t be any doubt in anyone’s mind that this bunch of filthy lairs are in over their hears and can not even get their lying Cover-Up story together. They themselves state that they had evidence that the State Dept. knew of the threat and still they did nothing. The disgusting Democrats have made a political game over the death of 4 Americans to protect their dishonorable president and Madam Sec. of State while honorable people have died because of them. Madam Sec. of State should either step down or be thrown out of offic ehe is in way over her head, just like her boss is. How can they look the American public in the face after what they did! And they still call Nixon names for what he did. What he did was small potatoes compared to being responsible for the murder of 4 loyal Americans who died for their country.
And these are the people who making American policies, and want us to vote for them? Are they kidding. And where was Hillary during those hearings? Why did she send her assistant there instead of her being there? Does she know something we don't know, and was afraid that she would be forced to tell the truth ?

I still don't think he's a Muslim. He brews beer in the White House, after all. I think D'Souza has him pegged better as an anti-colonialist who might wear such a ring in memory of the third world or some other stupidity.
Why someone hasn't asked is the sorry state of affairs of US journalism--anyone who asks will be branded a birther and given an Alinsky ridicule. But they would surely ask Romney if it was discovered he was wearing a ring on his wedding finger years before he married Ann, surmising that he was a closet polygamist, etc.
Sad.
