(CNSNews.com) – The Department of Labor is denoting Nov. 20 as “Transgender Day of Remembrance,” to memorialize transgender Americans who “have lost their lives as a result of violence.”
"The Transgender Day of Remembrance [TDOR] will be commemorated in cities and countries around the world today, reflecting on those who have died as a result of fear, hate and transphobia,” said Secretary Hilda Solis in a statement on Tuesday.
"I stand proudly today — and every day — as an ally to the
transgender community and to every person and family impacted by
anti-transgender bullying and violence,” she said. “Transgender people
are part of the diversity that America celebrates today and they, like
every American, deserve to live without fear of prejudice or violence.”
“I hope that this year's commemoration will serve as an opportunity to shine a brighter light on both progress made and the challenges ahead," Solis said. (continue reading at CNS News)
Don't you love that transgender image. There are a lot of people we need to have a day of remembrance for, transgenders would not be at the top of my list.

What I want to know is how much did this commemoration cost the taxpayers?

Good question Susan. How about we quit pandering to all these sub culture groups and concentrate on the morally upstanding people who seem to be the target of everyone else.

The transgender image is more evidence of the absurdity into which our society is sinking. **sigh**

These gender-fragmented individuals exist in our society. But should they be honored because they have a sexual identity crisis?
I suppose pedophiles will be honored next.... for their "work with children".
Moral lines have been erased by the current administration.

What about an Abortion Day of Remembrance for the 45+ million babies that died as a result of "fear, hate and moralphobia"?
