The official reports to the media emphasize that she did not suffer a stroke or neurological damage.

NBC News’ chief science and health correspondent, Robert Bazell, remarked on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s recent hospitalization (for a blood clot) on Monday. Questioning the link between the clot and her earlier concussion, Bazell said there may be more to the story. [snip]

Likewise Obama’s domestic initiative: social justice through a fair and equitable society completely
exemplifies the Russians erroneous position and will yield the same

Christian and American customs around the country are under attack by
atheist minorities and groups with anti-American agendas. Institutions,

liberty and Americanism. Conservative groups have abandoned their
principles in order to be popular and liked. The future of our country

For several weeks I have been more than a little frustrated. My life,
and that of countless millions around the world, but especially in the
United States has been altered, damaged (in ways small and large) by the
presence of Barack Obama in the White House.
I cannot forget the words of Theodore Herzl who said “if you will it,
it is no dream” (his dream of an Israeli state came true against
impossible odds), but now the dreams of many seemed dashed. Yet there is
hope, real hope. The election of 2012 was an opportunity to reverse
some of the damage this man has caused. For the last four years I have
heard people say that they would vote for Daffy Duck over Barack Obama.
He has been friendly to our foes and hostile to our friends. And his
domestic policy was no better, he is in the process of shedding our
beloved Constitution, yet I believe there is real hope.
is frantically failing, and turning away from socialism (even Great
Britain is beginning to reject socialized medicine). Russia and China
remain bastions of communism, and although they are almost as
totalitarian as ever, despite this, even they have begun to realize some
of the benefits of capitalism. Now, Reuters reports that private sector jobs have doubled and grew by 23% in 2012 – in Cuba. Even the Castro brothers are beginning to realize that a Soviet-style economy doesn’t work.
Yet, in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama is trying to replace America’s capitalist society with the Marxist fantasy. Mr. Obama pursues a foolish, utopian dream of a 19th pseudo-intellectual whose theories have never worked. It
took Russia 70 years to recognize that, and Eastern Europe was tied to
these failed theories from the end of World War II until about 1990 when
they finally broke the bonds of secular tyranny caused by Marxist
But to return to Herzl. A few days ago we discovered, via Tagg Romney, that his father never wanted to be president. His heart wasn’t in it, and this race needed above all someone who would ‘will the dream.’ But
he didn’t. This was/is bad news to a whole lot of people, starting with
the real candidates for the GOP nomination for president. I say real
because I never considered Gary Johnson and Jon Huntsman serious
contenders. The remaining candidates in the primary, love them or hate
them, would have had a much better chance without the presence of
Romney, and any one of them would have done a far better job than Obama. But ultimately, Mr. Romney was the GOP candidate and he lacked the necessary will to make the dream come true.

Zionism, who ‘willed the dream.’ I also take heart from the words of

convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield
to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

The Council ruled that the
planned 75 percent tax on annual income above 1 million euros ($1.32
million) - a flagship measure of Hollande's election campaign - was
unfair in the way it would be applied to different households.
Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said the government would redraft the upper
tax rate proposal to answer the Council's concerns and resubmit it in a
new budget law, meaning Saturday's decision could only amount to a
temporary political blow.
While the tax plan was largely symbolic and would only have affected a few thousand people, it has infuriated high earners in France,
prompting some such as actor Gerard Depardieu to flee abroad. The
message it sent also shocked entrepreneurs and foreign investors, who
accuse Hollande of being anti-business. (Reuters, via Drudge)
So if the tax is largely symbolic, why do it in the first place? To make those less fotunate jealous and to make them feel like the government is doing something to level the playing field.
The al-Nusrah Front is an off-shoot of al Qaeda in Iraq, now fighting with the ‘opposition’ in Syria. They are considered to be the best trained and most experienced fighters of all the Syrian rebels, and have been described as “the most aggressive and successful arm of the rebel force”.
And they come from Iraq and other Islamist wars. They are not Syrian
‘rebels’, but foreign jihadis fighting the secular government of Bashar
al-Nusrah publicly announced its creation on January 23,
2012, and since then has taken credit for multiple major bombing
attacks against the Assad regime, the murder of journalistMohammed al-Saeed , and 43 suicide terrorist attacks in Syria. The group receives the bulk of its financial support from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Its
goal is to achieve the overthrow of the Assad regime and to establish
an Islamic state that will be governed under sharia law.
Under Assad’s rule, minorities in Syria were largely
protected and lived their lives in relative safety. Today, the situation
has changed drastically. Christians, moderate or non-practicing
Muslims, Allawites, and other minorities now face the fear of death
every day at the hands of brutal and intensely cruel ‘rebels’. The
bodies of men, women, and children, many of them Christians and other
minorities, have been found horribly mutilated and tortured at the hands
of the so-called ‘opposition’ forces.
On December 11, 2012, al-Nusrah, which is comprised largely of Sunni Islamists,
was designated by the USA as a terrorist organization . Wasting no time
in response, a coalition of 29 other Syrian opposition groups
immediately embraced al Nusra, effectively challenging the US decision.
The al-Nusra Front has released numerous statements and videos,
produced by its media outlet, al-Manarah al-Bayda (The White
Lighthouse). The output is distributed through the leading Jihadist
webforum, Shamoukh al-Islam.

Left. John already took official Power Line notice of the movie a few weeks ago, and I already gave Damon a Green Weenie
back in September when news of the Arab financing for the film first
broke, but with the film coming out today, the reviews are starting to
trickle in like a load of freshly-fracked gas. It turns out that even
left-leaning movie reviewers find it risible. For that amazing
achievement, Damon deserves a second Weenie.
Take Time magazine’s movie critic, Richard Corliss. He finds the movie dubious, at best:
Left-wingers in the mainstream media — by which I mean me

tree-hugging prejudices. But even we know that well-meaning does not

only crop Promised Land harvests is Capra Corn. . .

THE MYTH OF MARTYRDOM - What Really Drives Suicide Bombers, Rampage Shooters, and Other Self-Destructive Killers, written by Adam Lankford, is an interesting read. Lankford rejects the prevailing view of suicide terrorists as radicalized
individuals who will do anything for a cause and asserts, they
are merely unhappy, damaged individuals who want to die.
This idea is interesting, but I don't buy it. I know quite a few experts who would disagree also. Let's look at one chapter in the book, The Myth Of Martyrdom:
Chapter Four - The Truth About 9/11.
Mohamed Atta is the Most infamous and influential suicide terrorist in human history.
As the ringleader of the nineteen hijackers who struck on September 11, 2001, and the first pilot to crash into the World Trade Center towers, Atta directly brought about the death of nearly three thousand Americans. In addition, he indirectly triggered the United States' "Global War On Terror," along with it's costly invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Recent estimates have put the toll in those wars at nearly $4 trillion and approximately 225,000 civilians and soldiers dead.1
It's conceivable that, if not for Atta, most of those funds could have been dedicated to more humane purposes, and most of those victims would still walk among us.
Stunningly, considering his importance, Atta has been fundamentally misunderstood for more than a decade. For instance, presidential campaign adviser and political scientist Robert Pape has claimed that Atta was relatively normal, and that he was "not readily characterized as depressed, not unable to enjoy life, not detached from friends and society."2 He further asserts that Atta's "psychological history, motivations, and behavior do not appear terribly different from those of ... many soldiers from many cultures who saw their societies desperate struggles for survival."3
Others have similarly suggested hat Atta's actions were solely the product of his ideological commitment to the cause, "not individual psychology."4 According to this view, Atta was just following orders. As former CIA expert and renowned government consultant Jerrold Post has explained, "as we've come to understand, the terrorists involved in 9/11 had subordinated their individuality to the group. And whatever their destructive charismatic leader, Osama bin Laden said was the right thing to do for the sake of the cause was what they would do."5 For them, he insists, "Osama bin Laden [was] an almost God-like figure."6
The facts say otherwise. When Atta was in Germany, some other Islamic fundamentalists would praise bin Laden to the heavens. But Atta remained skeptical and unconvinced. Unlike the others, he said that maybe bin Laden was a great man -- or maybe not.7
No -- the truth is that Atta had his own agenda. Like many suicidal people, he was not willing to take his own life until he was ready: he wouldn't be rushed into it, and it needed to be on his terms. In fact, unlike a professional soldier or ideologically committed Green Beret, he was willing to jeopardize the mission's success in order to meet his own objectives.
See what I mean. An interesting read, interesting perspectives, thought provoking, and sure to be debated by terrorism experts, psychologists, and all others concerned with not just terrorists but with mass murders who end their killing spree by committing suicide. Other chapters include: What Real Heroes Are Made Of; Murder-Suicide: The Natural Comparison; The Four Types of Suicide Terrorists; Mission Impossible? How to Stop Suicide Terrorism.

For decades, experts have told us that suicide
bombers are the psychological equivalent of America's Navy SEALs--men
and women so fully committed to their cause or faith that they cease to
fear death. In The Myth of Martyrdom, Adam Lankford corrects this
misconception, arguing that terrorists are driven to suicide for the
same reasons any civilian might be: depression, anxiety, marital strife,
or professional failure. He takes readers on a journey through the
minds of suicide bombers, airplane hijackers, 'lone wolf' terrorists,
and rampage shooters, via their suicide notes, love letters, diary
entries, and martyrdom videos. The result is an astonishing account of
rage and shame that will transform the way we think of terrorism
forever. Lankford convincingly demonstrates that only by understanding
the psychological crises that precipitate these acts can we ever hope to
