Marine veteran Jon Hammar enlisted in the Marines at age 18 and was deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. According to one account, in Fallujah, Hammar's battalion was hit hard, with 13 killed in action and more than 100 wounded. He survived all of this only to now be jailed a few years later in a notoriously terrible Mexican prison, literally chained to a bed, on a ridiculous technicality. Since August, the 27 year old Hammar has been languishing in a Mexican jail in Matamoros, confined to solitary confinement and now is chained to his bed. The look of despair on his face speaks volumes and is heartbreaking to say the least.

Where are the Selous Scouts when we need them!
The Mex Prez is playing hard and loose because of fast and furious... Don't know...
Does sound like a black bag job needs to end up in some warehouse with a basic motivational speech for some Mex Fed who is playing for the cash....

@Jon A Underwood The Selous Scouts would drive down there dressed as Mexicans and spring him in a matter of minutes.
Any wet decides he wants to be a hero , he would be dead.
They were masters at tracking and the sneak attack.
There were quite a few in the Canadian Army special warfare outfits after Rhodesia collapsed in 1980.
