Bank of America has reportedly frozen the account of gun manufacturer American Spirit Arms, according to its owner, Joe Sirochman.
In a Facebook post dated December 29, Sirochman wrote the following:
“My name is Joe Sirochman owner of American Spirit Arms...our Web site orders have jumped 500 percent causing our Web site e-commerce processing larger deposits to Bank of America. So they decided to hold the deposits for further review.
“After countless hours on the phone with Bank of America, I finally got a manager in the right department that told me the reason that the deposits were on hold for further review -- her exact words were -- ‘We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.’”(emphasis added)
Sirochman also wrote that he told the bank manager that “they have no right to make up their own new rules and regs” and that “[American Spirit is a] firearms manufacturer with all the proper licensing.”
He also noted that he has been doing business with Bank of America for over 10 years, but will now be looking for a new bank.
According to Unlawful News, this isn't the first time Bank of America has targeted a customer involved in the firearms industry.

I always hated BoA. They charged so many fees for so much BS that I decided to go with a local, smaller bank.

I'm wondering if this is BOA or just a disgruntles employee who is anti-gun. Time will tell. The owner said a manager told him: ‘We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.’”

Does that manager understand that guns may be sold on the Internet, but they must be processed through a licensed firearms dealer for pickup?
Congress during the Bush Administration passed a law making it legal to purchase ammo through the mail (as guns were during Sears & Roebuck's heyday). Why not gun parts?

Time for a Boycott of BOA.

If this is BOA official policy I suggest we all boycott them, and really put our money where our mouths are. There are TOO many of these companies whose policies and philosophies are in conflit with ours.

There will come a tipping point on the 2A, just like investments in South Africa, that happened in the end. Now, there are murders out the wazoo there....
These lib's will keep pushing everything they can, Ban, Registration, Government buy back and then confiscation, It's going to happen.
Now, the former Representative Gifford's and her Ex Astronaut hubby are jumping on the anti 2A bandwagon...
I am sorry that people have died due to criminals demented desires to kill. Taking the rights away from Law Abiding Americans, millions of them, is wrong and Americans will not stand for that! The freedom in this country is slipping and slipping fast.
Just like a tipping point for the lib plan for bans and confiscations, there is another tipping point as well!
The shooting at Sandy Hook in New town, CT is the tipping point the lib's have drooled for, for years. They won't miss a chance to kill the 2A! It took the Sandy Hook incident for the Libs to finally decide to go "all in".
There will also be an incident concerning the confiscation of weapons, and the method Obama makes that happen, that will be the peoples tipping point for our rights to Keep and bear arms.
If they keep pushing, and they will, there will be push-back from the American people that NO ONE WANTS TO HAPPEN.... AND IT WILL HAPPEN!
I personally don't see anyway for us to avoid this confrontation regarding the 2A!
I am happy I live in an expansive desert... and I have GPS equipment that tells me where I am to the foot...
Common sense better prevail, and the sooner the better, for all of us!
