Apparently the Inauguration committee is having trouble getting people involved in adulation of Barack Obama the second time around. Ticket prices have been cut in half. Tickets for the Inaugural ball have been slashed by 50%. The crowds are expected to be only 1/4 as large as they were at Obama's first coronation. They are even having problems with at least one entertainer: Rapper Lupe Fiasco thrown offstage during pre-inauguration event after anti-Obama rant [VIDEO] and Lupe did not vote for Obama.
"Watching the parade, of course, is free but you have to pay to attend
some of the other events here. And organizers have just slashed ticket
prices, we understand. Attending an inaugural ball costs $500 now,
that's down from a thousand dollars. A sign the inaugural committee may
have fallen short perhaps in their goal to raise $50 million. That money
pays for the balls, parade, the giant TV screens on the mall where
everybody can watch," reports Fox's Martha MacCallum. (The Weekly Standard and Fox News)
Fox News reports that a significantly smaller Inaugural crowd is expected today:
"They expect that in fact it could be significantly smaller," said Fox News reporter Carl Cameron. "Instead of 1.8, four years ago, They have actually lowered their crowd estimates. Originally they were saying, 600 to 800,000. Yesterday we were informed organizers think maybe closer to 500 to 700 [thousand]. Perhaps only a quarter of the size of four years ago." Josh Rogin, a reporter with Foreign Policy magazine, tweeted late Sunday, “Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set.”
“So Lupe played one anti-war song for 30 min and said he didn’t vote for Obama,” he continued, ”and eventually was told to move on to the next song…Lupe refused to move to the next song so a team of security guards came on stage and told him to go.”
This isn’t the first time the rapper, born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, has been vocal about his dislike for the president.
During an interview with CBS in 2011, he called the president a terrorist. Lupe said, “My fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama and the United States of America. I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism.”
“You know, the root cause of terrorism is the stuff the U.S. government allows to happen. The foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists.”
Lupe has also criticized Obama’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has stated that he does not vote in elections because of his anti-establishment views. (The Daily Caller)
I read that Obama was sworn in on TWO Bibles. I wouldn't believe a word he says if he swor on a stack of Bibles. There was probably a Koran hidden inside, heh.
In the past there were up to 12 balls. Obama citing traffic put all the balls in one spot. Funny about that. The balls he had planned couldn't get people to go.

And get this....The weather was perfect -- very mild -- from Friday through Sunday. Almost spring in January. Most of us weren't even wearing jackets on those days.
Today, Monday, it turned cold.
