Ahmed Meligy needs publicity and help, please spread the word.
Ahmed Meligy was arrested in Egypt for Supporting Peace with Israel
by Emad el Dafrawi, (Children of Peace)
On 31 December, 2012, groups were made and the message was published about the arrest of Ahmed Meligy. He is a supporter for peace with Israel and publishes opinion articles related to peace with Israel in the Jerusalem Post. This is yet another reminder for those who are fooled to believe that it’s not the state of Egypt which creates the hostility against Israel and Jews, and attacks all peace activists who promote reconciliation with Israel.See also:

* Jerusalem Post: Jerusalem Post blogger Ahmed Meligy was reportedly arrested in Egypt on Monday. (2012/12/31)
Ahmed Meligy was picked up by Egyptian security forces several days ago. The "chatter" has been whether silence or exposure will help his situation as he may be subjected to torture.
We need to spread the word through blogs, internet media, radio and TV outlets regarding all journalists and freedom of expression, and get this man's name and situation out there for all to see. Perhaps some pressure will be placed on those holding him, Egptian leadership and the security forces and our own government, to release Ahmed Meligy.
From Carl in Jerusalem:
Ahmed Meligy, who blogs for the JPost in Egypt, was reportedly arrested on Monday in Egypt. No details are known at this time regarding any charges against him.
An associate of Meligy, whose blog "Egypt's Missing Peace" has been critical of the Egyptian government, informed the Post that he had been arrested in Alexandria.
No other information was immediately available, and the Post was unable to confirm Meligy's whereabouts.
Meligy had recently informed Post Blog editor Lidar Grave that he would have to take a short hiatus from blogging because he was receiving threats.
In early November, Meligy opened a blog post critical of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi with the words, "I hope that I don’t get arrested for this one." He went on to say "the Muslim Brotherhood is creating a dictatorship that will set back my Egypt for years to come."
Aren't you glad that the Obama administration is supporting the Morsi dictatorship and teaching them about democracy? Isn't this much better than having Mubarak in power? I don't think so either.
Israel National News has Audio: "There Will Be Blood" - Exclusive Interview with Ahmed Meligy from June 2012 here.
As is noted here, there are not many details other than he was arrested, beyond that no official word from anyone. Keep watch for any news of Ahmed Meligy.

Debbie,
A basic question must be answered. Where is this man? Why has a journalist gone missing without a trace?

Nothing in the Washington Post about this.
Of course.
