The situation at hand is important in several respects. The fact that the murderer has been located and dealt with is really just a footnote to this situation.
What needs to be discussed is the fact that there are thousands of persons out there in the blogosphere and also running around our communities that, as I predicted earlier, have supported Dorners actions and wanted him to disappear or escape Justice, feeding a “Robin Hood” Mentality. Robin Hood of Lore was good then, but in real life, Dorner is no Robin Hood! He is a murderer, scum and his actions have destroyed any possible honor to his family or his name. 180 degrees of his stated intention listed in his rambling manifesto.
The indiscriminate taking of life, because of a perceived injustice or slight, the most important blessing from Our Lord Above is the obvious center of this incident, but we need to deal with the possible loss of our Societies moral center.
When any person, such as Dorner, can even contemplate that his actions, murder, Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault (and a host of other charges) have even an inkling of justification, and he is not insane? We have a problem. Not only were the “useful Idiots” out in full force, but actual journalists were commenting on the apparent “injustice” of the LAPD’s termination of Dorner with absolutely no facts, as usual, and the placing of LAPD in a “Oppressor/Victim” position, without knowing what ever happened.
I still have not heard much about his Navy Time:
What was his Officer Eval rating? (Clearly not a 4.0, I can tell you that!) What was the date that Dorner departed the navy and under what circumstances? What is his official status with the navy as of now?
The other main thing in this terrible situation is the governmental response to Dorner and his actions. Dorner was declared a “Domestic Terrorist” and the entire machine of the Southern California Law Enforcement Community was rolled into action. LAPD had 20 swat teams in support, if requested by the local County Sheriff, this apparently did not happen. The determination of a “Domestic Terrorist” status of Dorner is something that will be used much more in the future as it allows the Police and of course the Military to employ far reaching assets and responses than we have ever seen before. Look for more of this to be done, with greater cooperation with the Military and Intel assets in the future. Remember also the new “finding” that drones may be used to kill Americans without due Justice (and no, there has been no prohibition against using the drones in the continental US either) and also in conjunction with the possible use of authority within the last National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) regarding indefinite detention of anyone without charges.
We all know that we are waiting to determine if the Body found in the burned out cabin in the Big bear area, is in fact Dorner. Will they find the Scuba gear that he purchased in the building or did the fluid nature of his escape attempt, prevent him from getting to the equipment? Lot’s of questions!
Here is one absolute answer: This situation is over, but the ramifications of it, and the Governments response to it, is not.
Could (would) this government response be used to “deal” with those that support the 2nd Amendment? Who refuse to surrender their rights and their weapons? You already know the answer to that! This situation was but a preview of the future!

This is more an issue of tribalism or racism. He was black so blacks and any non-blacks who automatically believe in all the racism stories thought his story was compelling. THAT will be more of a problem when TSHTF then simply that thousands of nuts had a Robin Hood fetish.
