News of President Obama's apparently long-secret fondness for skeet shooting came as a surprise to those who say they have witnessed the president's "awkward" attempts at pinging the (clay) pigeons.

This has only happened with the president at Camp David, at most, a couple of times, according to a source who says he has been to the retreat on a half-dozen visits with Obama.

"The only time he shot skeet was for President's Cup," said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. "I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn't leave fast enough."

Skeet shooting "is very hard," said the source. "Especially for someone not used to guns ... He couldn't have been more uncomfortable."

His line of sight appears off. Perhaps someone else can offer some thoughts on this since it is hard with him wearing sunglasses. That said, having just fired a shotgun (the smoke emitted from either the barrel or the 'port' seems to indicate this), he should have been thrust backwards from the recoil. Even trained snipers and marksmen have that momentarily loss of sighting until they reacquire the target. Why, then, is Obama's line of sight looking at this right palm? Did the firearm move and yet his body remained stationary???? I had seen more reaction from his body when he was throwing hoops...

Mr. Godlewski is correct. That gun would have produced a recoil (not a big one).

Plus the picture was taken on Aug. 4th. I do believe The Anointed One was on the campaign trail and not at Camp David.

Why didn't the Obama campaign release this piece of propaganda during the campaign and not at this time?

Another thing that I noticed is the comparative size of the firearm. Is not Obama a relatively big guy (6'1")? That's one big gun then. Makes him look like a scrawny teenager almost.

Eh, doesn't really matter. What it does look like is someone who hates guns shooting one... :o)

It is reported that Chris Kyle, the storied US Navy Sniper, Author of the book "American Sniper" was murdered today along with another man in Texas.

Information is developing at this time....

A shooting suspect, that stole Kyle's vehicle, was arrested today around 2100 hours Texas time.

A true shame, this man was definitely a "Man among Men!"
