Intersex

 The Australian government has announced new guidelines on gender recognition which state that individuals should be given the option of selecting "male", "female" or "intersex" on their personal documents, according to reports.

I'm reminded of the Saturday Night Live character Pat, who when asked in an application for sex, Pat responded, "Please!"

However there are problems with using the term 'intersex', rather than Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Gay, Transgender, whatever.  Intersex is defined as anatomical anomaly, a birth defect one might say:

 

“Intersex” is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. For example, a person might be born appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside. Or a person may be born with genitals that seem to be in-between the usual male and female types—for example, a girl may be born with a noticeably large clitoris, or lacking a vaginal opening, or a boy may be born with a notably small penis, or with a scrotum that is divided so that it has formed more like labia. Or a person may be born with mosaic genetics, so that some of her cells have XX chromosomes and some of them have XY.

Though we speak of intersex as an inborn condition, intersex anatomy doesn’t always show up at birth. Sometimes a person isn’t found to have intersex anatomy until she or he reaches the age of puberty, or finds himself an infertile adult, or dies of old age and is autopsied. Some people live and die with intersex anatomy without anyone (including themselves) ever knowing.  (Intersex Society of North America)

 

I'm not sure if the United States will follow Australia's lead on this.  Perhaps having a box where an individual could check "male", "female" or "other" would be best?  Just asking.  I realize that the majority of citizens in the world are being forced to go along with all these gender-related immoran changes in society, whether we want to or not.  Majority does not rule any longer, especially here in the U.S.

 

Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus said the new guidelines, which come into operation from July 1, will make it simpler for people to establish or change their sex or gender in personal records held by federal government departments and agencies.

"We recognise individuals may identify, and be recognised within the community, as a gender other than the gender they were assigned at birth or during infancy, or as an indeterminate gender," Dreyfus said in a statement Thursday.  (more at France24)

 

I think the Left is pushing the LGBTQ and now Intersex agenda onto the majority of this nation, including indoctrinating our children from their earliest years onward.  This is a very scary situation.

Neo-Nazi Golden Dawn Party Goes Global

Emboldened by its meteoric rise in Greece, the far-right Golden Dawn party is spreading its tentacles abroad, amid fears it is acting on its pledge to "create cells in every corner of the world". The extremist group, which forged links with British neo-Nazis when it was founded in the 1980s, has begun opening offices in Germany, Australia, Canada and the US.

The international push follows successive polls that show Golden Dawn entrenching its position as Greece's third, and fastest growing, political force. First catapulted into parliament with 18 MPs last year, the ultra-nationalists captured 11.5% support in a recent survey conducted by polling company Public Issue.

The group – whose logo resembles the swastika and whose members are prone to give Nazi salutes – has gone from strength to strength, promoting itself as the only force willing to take on the "rotten establishment". Amid rumours of backing from wealthy shipowners, it has succeeded in opening party offices across Greece.

It is also concentrating on spreading internationally, with news last month that it had opened an office in Germany and planned to set up branches in Australia. The party's spokesman, Ilias Kasidiaris, said it had decided to establish cells "wherever there are Greeks".

"People have understood that Chrysi Avgi [Golden Dawn] tells the truth," he told a Greek-language paper in Melbourne. "In our immediate sights and aims is the creation of an office and local organisation in Melbourne. In fact, very soon a visit of MPs to Australia is planned."

But the campaign has met with disgust and derision by many prominent members of the Greek diaspora who represent communities in both the northern and southern hemispheres.

"We don't see any gold in Golden Dawn," said Father Alex Karloutsos, one of America's leading Greek community figures, in Southampton, New York. "Nationalism, fascism, xenophobia are not part of our spiritual or cultural heritage."

But Golden Dawn is hoping to tap into the deep well of disappointment and fury felt by Greeks living abroad, in the three years since the debt-stricken nation was plunged into crisis.  (continue reading article at the Guardian UK)

Bikinis vs Burquas = Terrorism

The beach is crowded with men these days. Powerful, muscled Dagestani men, who practice martial arts and wrestle on the littered sand of the Caspian Sea shore in the capital city of Makhachkala. Some sit around, enjoying boiled ears of corn with butter and salt; others play soccer or ride on their buddies’ shoulders in the waves, competing to see who can last longest without collapsing into the water. Rare groups of shy women in long flannel dresses enter the sea holding children by the hand; their long skirts and colorful hijabs immediately soak up salty water, like sponges. Bikinis? There are almost none. The social change here has been fast and radical: just two summers ago, only a smattering of women swam in their long dresses and scarves on Russia’s Caspian Sea beaches. This year, public opinion in the region—the place with the highest level of terrorist attacks in Russia—decided to put an end to the "sinful" display of women’s bodies. The appearance of a rare tourist in a modern swimsuit elicits frowns, and a grumpy comment in the local language. One word is always clear: haram or “forbidden.”

To make life easier for both women who want to swim yet have no bathing robes (nicknamed burkinis), and for men keen on playing on the beach without violating the dictates of Islam, the state opened the first Sharia-compliant beach in Russia this month. Named "Mountain Woman Beach," it’s a gated community, open to women, girls and boys younger than 6 years of age. Visitors can rest in comfortable wooden shelters to escape the heat or swim in the ocean without the burden of burkinis. The beach is proof enough, if any were needed, of the rise of Islam in Russia. It’s also a security measure to protect women from a recent, gruesome spate of bombings at the Caspian shore.  (more at The Daily Beast)

I'm betting Islam wouldn't be happy with the Parade of Bikinis that takes place each year, this year in Australia, where 357 women in bikinis proudly marched, thankful for the freedom they have to wear what they choose (obviously not burquas).   The bikini parade this year praised the beautiful beaches of the Gold coast and the healthy young women who participated.  heh  The Bikini Parade was held in the Cayman Islands last year.

Australian Defense League Fighing Islamization

The United States could take a lesson from Australia

The Defence League Movement Against Sharia Law Goes Global. And MUSLIM groups are worried about this new nationalist organization that warns Australians that they are in danger of being Islamicized. They damn well BETTER worry.

So where is the American Defense League?

Herald Sun - Australian Defence League supporters clashed with Left-wing protesters in the city yesterday as the group held its first local rally, sparking a warning from the Baillieu Government that bigotry would not be tolerated.

A small team of police initially kept the groups apart, but ADL supporters were forced to end their protest early when activists encircled them and tore up placards. The ADL is an offshoot of the English Defence League, which has staged demonstrations in areas of high Muslim concentration in the UK. Here in the United States we have plenty of  individuals and groups who are spreading the word about the spread of Muslims who support sharia law which condones honor killings, multiple wives, burquas/headscarves for women, abuse of women and children.  What we need is more politicians and a government that understands this threat.  Some do, but not nearly enough.

As one comnenter at the above link noted, in Australia (and other countries as well), the Muslim immigreants expect the locals to adapt to them, rather than the Muslims assimilating into the Australian culture.

How Long Can a Financially Broken Government Afford ...

.... to supplement green cars and energy that doesn't work and Americans don't want?  Take Hawaii (or the UK, or Australia, or any number of Western nations), where green energy and cars are pushed on people who don't want them.  Even giving a $7,500.00 tax break from the Federal government and an additional $4,000.00 break from the State government on each green car that is sold.  Problem is even getting the price down to normal gas engine cars, people don't want these cars.  Only 250 Nissan Leafs were sold in the US.  There is a new van, a new Smart-For-Two Electric Drive planned for 2012.

Things aren’t going too well for the Prime Minister’s boast of leading “the greenest government ever”, giving us, as he said last year, “a real opportunity to drive the green economy, green jobs, green growth”. In 2007, Mr Cameron made a big play of opening a factory in Coventry to build electric-powered vans. Last week, after making only 400 vehicles in four years, the firm, Modec, sacked half its workforce and went into administration with debts of £40 million.

Meanwhile, in Australia, ridicule greeted a radio interview with Jill Duggan, a senior British official with the European Commission, who is playing a key role in the EU’s bid to reduce CO2 emissions by 20 per cent by 2020. Taken aback at being faced by two well-informed sceptics, she admitted she had no idea how many hundreds of billions of euros this would cost, or how much it could hope to achieve by way of reducing global temperatures. Nevertheless she claimed that “tackling climate change” has created “over a million new jobs” in Europe, including “many hundreds of thousands in the UK”.

Citing a new study which estimates that diverting £330 million into renewable energy destroyed 3.7 British jobs last year for every one created, the interviewers suggested that, with an unemployment rate of 10 per cent, there didn’t seem to be much Europe could teach Australia...(The Telegraph UK)

 

So the question is:  How long can governments that are financially broke continue to underwrite industries that don't work and people don't want to buy? 

Answer:  As long as they can keep printing money and as along as Progressives, Socialists, etc. are in political office.

The pie-eaters greatly outnumber the pie-makers.

While the above article is about Australia, the same concept relates to the United States.  When half the voters are eating at the government trough, or in Mr. Sheehan's words when half of the voters are pie-eaters, rather than pie-makers, it is obvious who they will vote for when election time comes.  The big spenders in government will continue to get the pie-eater votes.

But let's look at this as a one-pie government, there is only so much to go around.  The way the Obama administration has been spending, there is NO MORE PIE.  The plate is empty, not even any crumbs left.  We are borrowing money from other nations in order to feed the pie-eaters and to pay for the over-bloated government, government employees, and unions.

Finally, we get to the most structural and disturbing aspect of the election, the growing primacy of the pie-eaters. As the recent British election showed, when sections of a country become addicted to government spending (Scotland and Wales), the electorate will vote out of self-interest and vote for the party of big government. That is, vote Labor, no matter how bad the record.

Voters are expecting more from government on healthcare, education and social security and expectancy creates dependency. One in four Australians now depends on the government for the bulk of their income. Another one in four Australians depends on government spending, directly or indirectly, for their jobs. That’s half the electorate depending on tax transfers.

The pie-eaters greatly outnumber the pie-makers.

Washington, we've got a problem.  We need a return to small government and Constitutional limits on government:

• Cutting taxes and government spending in order to halt the encroachment of government in the economic lives of citizens by fighting proposed tax increases and pointing out evidence of waste, fraud, and abuse.
• Tax and Expenditure Limitations to promote fiscal responsibility.
• Removing unnecessary barriers to entrepreneurship and opportunity by sparking citizen involvement in the regulatory process early on in order to reduce red tape.
• Restoring fairness to our judicial system.

Government spending has not worked.  Stimulus has not worked.  And the few of us left working, paying our bills, not depending on the government, are over-taxed, and tired of trying to keep the trough full.
